I linked to this as I read an article in Grazis this week about a women who met her husband on this site and has a child. She agrees with this egg donation thing they are doing. Some of her comments make me want to smack her in the mouth:-

"Who wouldn't want a gorgeous baby? I was brought up in a world where looks are very important and the sanme will be true of my son's generation"

"I'd always dreamed of passing my beauty lineage on to my children"

"Of course a healthy baby is the top priority. But lets be honest: if any mother was given a choice between having a buck-toothed, jug-eared baby or a little cherub with big blue eyes and a dazzling smile of course they'd choose the latter"

"Looks get you ahead in life. That's just the reality"

Disgusting.

How funny. They're given a beauty rating out of ten for the site. I just looked up and there are 12 members from my city. I could never fancy someone who joined a beautiful people website could you?

Everyone knows beautiful people have ugly babies

Have you had a look on the site? It's hilarious! They've got Wayne Rooney on the front page!!!?????!!!!

First of all, how much of a tw*t have you got to be to JOIN a site like this - they all look like high-maintenance pouty princesses (and that's just the guys!).
Urgh - no thanks.

There's some right munters on there as well - what were they thinking??

i'm a munter tbh but i have very beautiful blonde haired blue eyed children

Psammead · 07/07/2010 13:33

Oh God. We should flood them with our photos and offers of beautiful eggs!

How cringeworthy.

All beauty is subjective. What's beautiful to one person isn't to another and it does annoy me when people assume that because someone has blond hair and/or blue eyes that they're automatically beautiful.

Well I was a beautiful child...... but am a butt ugly adult.

My sis was a butt ugly kid, but is a real stunner

Report
Easywriter · 07/07/2010 13:55

I don't profess to be a stunner but my children...

...they are GORGEOUS!!!
(Even if I say so myself[grin})

That woman in Grazia this week bleating on about her beautiful family is truly vile. Obviously modesty and humility weren't characteristics her husband was looking for in a soulmate.

It cheered me up to note that she also has a rather large forehead - (bitchy emoticon!)

Urgh, what a bunch of arseholes! Thats really creeped me out. I know some people have no choice but I don't understand why someone would choose to have a child that is not genetically theirs if they could do it naturally. Are we really that shallow now? Theres no guarantee that the baby will be attractive anyway.

Neither dh or I are oil paintings but our ds is so beautiful. I may be (slightly) biased but people regularly stop me in the street to tell me how gorgeous he is!

How creepy must you be as a person if you're beautiful and still need a dating website to get shacked up?

rewardgirl · 07/07/2010 15:02

LRD - good point!!
Maybe they should spend less time on posing and more time on developing a personality.....

I didn't think they were particularly attractive.

We had a very beautiful flawless china doll lady where I used to work we were mostly single and none of the blokes found her in the slightest attractive one said it would be like f**king a blow up doll.

She was the prettiest girl I have seen but no personality other than how she looked.

Urgh! Some of the men on that site are a bit serial killer if you ask me. Prancing ninnies.

What a load of bull. DH and I are both pretty ordinary looking but our children are SPECTACULAR!
