Is this actually legal?

I am really annoyed and hacked off - I have just booked 14 tickets to an air show at a cost of over three hundred pounds. My boss has decided that he wants to go on a weekday and asked me to change them.

I called the ticket line and was told - no transfers, no refunds I have to book again and just lose the money!

This is a ticket line that deals with a lot of events.

My director has been on the phone to them and that is the policy - we don't want a refund we want to transfer the tickets and pay more for the week day ones.

Has anyone else been had by this and what did you do?

Yep, it's legal. Not very sensible of them in this instance, as you'd be paying them more money. But legal.

If it's in the terms and conditions that you agree to when buying the tickets then yes it's legal. usually on ticketmaster type places when you click on purchase you agree to any terms and conditions printed on eth site.

What if the event is cancelled? Does everyone lose their money?

If the event is cancelled you would get offered a refund or a ticket for the re-scheduled event.

could you sell the tickets on ebay? crap that they wont transfer the tickets but thats how these bastards companies make their money
