Because I am fed up of trawling through pages and pages of identikit new boxes when I want something older and with a bit of character. You can ask for new-build or not new build, but so many new places are bought and then put back on the market straight away they might as well be new-build.

Local property market swamped with new houses due to monster estates being built in the last few years. The older places seem to be few and far between.

YANBU - however, I have a good eye for quickly scrolling down past anything square and orange

Oh so do I now electro! But it's so disheartening. But of every page I pull up at least 90% are new. I would just like an option that says 'Please exclude brand-new characterless boxes because I detest them' with feedback going to the developers! So perhaps they might stop building so many.

There must be a reason why so many are being sold on instantly. And my god some of them have incredibly low sell-on prices.

I was about to say YABU because our house has character, is solid, spacious and so on but was built in the late 40s. Then I did the maths

Now late 40s and 50s would do me a treat! The first house I remember living in was 1940 red-brick detached and it was beautiful. In fact I don't mind 70s - some of them are lovely. It's just 80s and later I struggle with.

Try putting 'period' in the additional details or similar box, primelocation at least has that option, so does contry life properties.
