Walking through my local shopping centre a couple of days ago, behind two young girls pushing buggies, one of them pregnant.

Girl 1 (pregnant one) says (heatedly) Did I tell you what that sag with Js kid did?

Girl 2 (confused) J
** got a another kid?

Girl 1 Yes, remember when he cheated on me that one time and she ended up pregant?

Girl 2 I never knew that!

Girl 1 Yes, cheated on me one time with her, she ends up pregnant, he has got a little boy with her now. Well she only sent me a packet of baby vests for the baby from............ASDA!!!!!

Girl 2 Noooooooooooooooo!

Girl 1 Yes, gave them back to his Mum to give back to her. Like I am going to dress my kid in stuff from Asda!

Girl 2 (Nods in fierce agreement) silence then...................Lets go to KFC.

and off they go.

AIBU to think that some people need to look at their priorities?

And????

Report
Springfleurs · 23/04/2009 15:54

Not slagging off white trash AT ALL, I probably would be considered white trash by some on here.

Was concerned about a young girls priorities in that it does not seem to matter to her that her boyfriend cheated on her, even if it was only ONCE!!!! . She is more concerned about vests from ASDA. Made me laugh at first but then made me feel quite sad the more I thought about it.

No.

I am currently reading a book called "Living with a Dominator" about abusive men. In it talks a lot about Social Conditioning that allows that abuse to happen. This struck me as a perfect example. This girl has been cheated on, he had another child with another woman BUT she believes him when he tells her it was only ONCE and calls the ow a "slag". It made me sad for her.

Springfleurs, that is indeed a bizarre attitude that she had, I'm with you on that

Springfleurs - got the worng end of the stick - sorry

Thought was another thread which had Asda + KFC = common chavs.

It is a shame when you get that complete acceptance of absolutely awful behaviour. I used to work with a young girl who gave most of her wages to her BF for him to spend on pot and to fill up his car to take other women out. Yet whenever she found out about another woman she would be like the devil possessed and go after the other girl, but would always let her boyfriend off, saying he had been 'set up'. Madness. She was completely and utterly blinded to his ways. He also (I very strongly suspect) hit her but she wouldn't ever think he did anything wrong, and accepted his very aggressive and nasty nature as being completely normal. It's very sad.

Sorry for misjudging the OP (who's judgy judgy judgingtons now then! )

Give me Ada George over KFC anytime! hell, give me a charity shop over any fast food place.

I have a poor opinion of men in general, because most(not all)of them are cheats and liars.

Sorry, just talking to myself really.

I will never for the life of me understand those who call names or go after the "other woman" instead of placing the blame squarely where it belongs - namely, the straying partner.

Triggles, when the OW doesn't send the cheating git back to his partner and their child ~ knowing that he has messed both her and the original woman around and that there is a child involved, then I think she's as bad as him.

rasputin. That is what I thought as well. Maybe trying to do the right thing. I just felt sorry for all the women and children revolving around this feckless excuse for a man J***.

SOLO - doesn't matter what the OW has done - HE knew he was in a relationship - that's enough, as far as I'm concerned.

i do love the horror everyone claims when anyone looks like they might be laughing at 'white trash'. Lets be honest at some point most people laugh at those they think are below them
the harrow educated laugh at the doors to manual new money
the new money have a chuckle at the centre parks crowd
the centre park crowd laugh at the haven crowd over the top of their gaurdians
the 'white trash' have a good guffaw at the pikeys
And the pikeys have a the longest laugh of all at the whole of the above because they dont pay taxes !!!!!!!!
rushes off to fetch marshmallows for flaming
