AIBU?

BBC News Complaint

AIBU to complain to the BBC after watching the two minute update, and listening to the presenter saying that in the budget 'booze, fags and petrol are going up'

Booze is quite bad, but fags is completely inappropriate for BBC news I feel. I'm not generally a pedant about these things, but I do feel this is taking the dumbing down of tv way too far.

What?

Is this all you've got to complain about.

Seriously?

I really don't think IABU, it is awful for the BBC news to use such words. I would expect it on local radio maybe, but not on the TV.

do you know, I was rather offended by Lorraine Kellys stateside muppet the other day, some scottish bloke, think his last name is Ross.

He said that the Susan Boyle link on youtube had been getting "more hits than Rihanna" and proceeded to piss himself laughing at his own 'joke'

Is domestic violence funny is it? on the lorraine kelly show aswell?? moron.

I do agree. I'm not sure I could get worked up enough to complain though, but yes I agree.

But hearing the news on R4 this evening I was bristling at the use of that bloody 'sexed up' phrase that keeps being trotted out nowadays.

Where did that tripe come from? I really haaate it.

Then to make matters worse the person talking about it said the sexed up claim had in itself been..sexed up! I nearly imploded.

Must get a life...(another annoying phrase)
