I can't see a problem with sticking up pieces of 'art work' done by my ds, OK I know he is only 2 so they all look the same and there is no actual picture just alot of scribble. But AIBU to cover my kitchen in this or should I just choose a select few and keep the rest in a folder? My dh doesn't mind them being up but would prefere that they were on a pin board so only in the one place and once it is full we can put up new ones, also he doesn't like that they are stuck up randomly, badly cut by myself to make them fit, using seletape! He does actually like the pictures it is just my display techniques!!

I only put my DCs up on the back of the kitchen door and I rotate them regularly

I'd HATE to have them all over TBH

i have them all over the place and various different toilet roll tubes with things stuck to them fairy ornaments, and hand painted plaster of paris magnets, and my fire is currently decorated with crayola scribbles that is meant to be a family portrait. my house looks like a childs art gallery. stick them anyhwere you can imo. they are only young once wont be long before you are wishing that they would bring you home pictures instead of smelly gym gear.

I agree with your DH, sorry! I think the pinboard idea is great and when its full you can replace them will new pictures and put the old ones in a folder for keeps. I must admitt that i put my DS picutures ont eh fridge but there are only 2 at a time.

if all over the house, wonkily cut and stuck up with sellotape, YABU
Confine to dedicated space/s (back of door, fridge, pinboard), use blutac, replace when full

I have around 3-4 pices of scribble wonderful artwork on my bedroom wall, and my kitchen is absolutley plastered in them! I love it - instead of the dingy cream walls I have lovely bright colours everywhere. My 3yr old dd brings home so many that I choose some of the ones I like most and put the rest in a folder in her drawer.

I left our christmas light mesh up in the kitchen it covers one wall and is now a gallery for the boys artwork, all shapes all sizes I weed out some for quality but not many.
it is now full and DH is today buying one of those huge art folder things at lunchtime and we will put some bits into storage.
I don't have them round the rest of the house though.
DS1 has a few of his favorites up in his bedroom.

I have DD drawing in the hall and going up the stairs - I quite like them there - but once we get around to decorating this house then who knows where I will put them.

we've got 'art' work up on our kitchen walls drawn by the ds's. They are stuck up with parcel tape. we also have quite a few scribblings on the walls themselves. The kitchen needs decorating anyway so it doesn't really matter at the moment.

DD sticks her own up all over. Mostly on doors (OK since they're all soon to be repainted). Some on walls in playroom. Some on walls in sitting room (again OK because about to be stripped and replastered).

I occasionally scoot round and take a few down. And she knows where is OK to put them. I like them - don't live in a show home, and they add interest. Particularly since dh and I cannot agree on pictures for the walls!

I've never decorated so my home's a mish mash of second hand stuff. For that reason I let DD put pictures all over. The time will come when she'll be too old for that sort of thing and I'll maybe have the decorated home I want.
Until then I just enjoy her "artwork"

we sue our dining room for them all, one wall for ds one for dd.... it is in need of decorating anyway, and everyone just loves seeing the pics, and never notices the horrid woodchip wallpaper!!!

Baker Ross have a hanging display thing with about 10 A4 pockets so you can rotate the pieces of art work easily.

The Baker Ross thing is good. Or how about putting a few together in a large clip frame and changing them over every so often?

I have them all over the place too, but I use blu-tak - sellotape takes the paint off the walls.
