They could at least come back and say thank you? Maybe i need to get a life but nothing annoys me more than when someone makes an OP asking for help, people flock to their aid and the OP never returns So am i?

No I don't think so, it's just basic politeness isn't it? Maybe we're a bit OCD about t though, but it winds me up too!!!

By the time they have read all the pros and cons, they still don't know if they are or not

I do like for teh Op to at least come on and say somethng, preferably an update, to acknowledge she has actually read the advice being given even if she chooses nto to take it.

Winds me up as well! Although probably there are all kinds of good reasons OPs don't come back.

Ah, I hate when people never come back to a thread. Especially frustrating when you ask them something and they never reply.

I took my time to read and reply, please extend the courtesy.

YANBU.

They only thing that is worse imho, is when people say, 'I don't know if I should do X or Y', you post saying, 'I think you should do X' and they then have a huff because you didn't say what they wanted to hear.

Advice is what we ask for when we know the answer but wish we didn't!!

If I have not said thanks, I apologise... sometimes, guilty as charged

NP its not so much not saying thanks but i think if someone has helped with a problem then it is only fair to update, especially for saddo's like me who actually think of mumsnet/ers when im going to sleep

I know! I do wonder though, do I lose sleep over concern for other people, or just plain noseyness???

I agree with you Loopylou..whats the point in going to the trouble of starting a thread if you're not going to come back to it to look at the answers.
