OOh no, do buy it, tis fab. It's just that there are LOTS of tiny bits. I finally figured that some of them should be permanently attached to at least one other bit.

def not, we have playmobile, several vehicles etc, and the wheels and axles are held in with little plasitc clips that my two year old keeps taking out, then we lose the dam things, most annoying. i will be gluing ours together when i can find all the bits, and possibly rescue those that thave been sucked up the hoover.

YANBU, you are a genius

Ds loves playmobil and plays with it for hours but I will admit the faffy bits annoy the feck out of me. Like all the burloody coins in the pirates chest that end up making a reapperance via dd1 and dd2 nappies

I find myself divided.

Playmobil is the fabbest toy brand imaginable and value in terms of £/play is superb.

All the bits (the jester's mirror, the rescue helicopter pilot's map, etc, etc) are half the fun.

but there are bits (feathers in knights helmets, for example) which clearly do need to be permanently attached, and if only I could find the damn things (and some superglue) I would do it.

So whether or not YABU depends on how much glueing you did!

Lol, never thought about glueing them. We have loads of playmobil, my SIL gives it to the DCs all the time.

We have the seal enclosure from the zoo, no idea where the little rings went that the seals toss around. Perhaps I should have been checking DSs nappies.

We bought a Lego Hogwarts castle from eBay several years ago.
It was an ex-display model, and we got a real bargain.
When it arrived, we found that lots of the really tricky bits were glued together.
It was fab!

I've also glued my son's lego airplane together. He was getting upset each time a bit broke off, and I got sick of putting the pieces back together again.

I confess it was mostly along the lines of feathers in hats, finials on the mansion roof etc - bits that don't really do anything. I did stick the toy baby into the toy pram though. And stuck some of the cannonballs onto their tray thingy, but there's still a barrellfull to fire into the carpet.

LOL at random ball of bits. I am tempted to take a photo of tonight's goings on, where in the hunt for frozen dinosaurs, the binmen are leading the charge up the iceberg, BBQ chef is providing the expedition catering and several princesses are watching from deckchairs aboard the pirate ship. Ans a viking is passing himself off as a motorbike riding paramedic. Happy days

Chippy is yours another Playmobil world in which bin men are in charge? Actually come to think of it I think they may have been ousted by the police dogs here..

It's the orange coats...gives them an aura of authority.

I was eying up the sniffer dogs yesterday - menacing - but no-one wanted them

Have you noticed that all the people are smiling?

Pirates, Knights, Barbarians and Romans all co-exist in ds' world with the occasioanl influx of Grand mansion residents , rescuers, builders and horse riders .

We have been iinvaded by a single roman, but i happen to know there will be an invasion next month (DS1's birthday) led by Caesar himself. Clepatra will be commandeering the mansion by christmas day
