Flat reeks of reefer!

DH and I live in a first floor flat with 1yo DD. Our downstairs neighbour is a nice chap who we have had round for dinner a few times. A few weeks ago his girlfriend moved in with him. Since then we have had a very strong and regular smell of marijuana pervading our flat and this evening it absolutely reeks! Our next door neighbour who has an 8mo and a 2yo has also noticed. She is a SAHM and says it starts in the mornings and carries on all day!

WIBU to conclude it must be the new girlfriend and to complain to our neighbour downstairs? If we were students I wouldn't care, but with so many young children around it just isn't on.

yes I definitely would say to him. does he rent his flat or own it?

I would say something to him, politely but firmly. with any luck he'd be embarrassed. Although it's illegal, it would creatr a LOT of bad feeling if you called the cops etc, give him a chance to put a stop to it first.

Yes, he owns it. We share freehold.
