To book tickets for a film with a tbc classification & expect a refund if it turns out to be 15

I'm hoping it will be 12A but there is a LOT of swearing in it. There is no sex & only stylised violence

The dc are 10 & 13 (but ds looks about 7)

It's a live screening & is selling fast so I daren't leave it until the certificate is announced.

The problem is the cinema will refuse admission if its 15 rated (but not if its 12 as long as they are with an adult.

Because its a fabulous show flip art. I didn't allow them to see it when they were younger but a decided that at 10 & 12 they are now old enough.

Cineworld is listing it as a 12a.

The show is recommended for over 12s. Having seen it i would expect it to be a 12a.

Certainly as a parent you have the final say as to whether they should be able to see it.

Is it a re-release of the Billy Elliott movie from 2000? If so, why don't they know what the rating is? It's PG-13 here (parental guidance required for children under 13).

I want the live screening as I know Curious Dog started off as 12A but the encore performances ended up 15.

It sounds like it will depend on the swearing, if there is a lot and there are any "fucks" it's highly likely it will be a 15.

The BBFC guidance for a 15 regarding language:

And for a 12A:
