I am going into hospital to have section tomorrow. I have literally no idea what to pack to wear as my leggings are too tight, yoga pants too hot, loose pj bottoms all light colours so will show blood if I leak, nighties annoying as tops of legs rub together and won't feel secure

Am sitting on my bed crying. Someone take pity on me please

I am on bed rest and there literally isn't anything in the shops, no stretchy shorts which is a BRILLIANT IDEA were it not for the fact that I have only just bought them.

I survived with four pairs of maternity jeans bought in a bundle all the at through and then have given up and ordered yoga pants.

considering OH boxer shorts too. Is that innapropriate for in hospital?

Can you cut the legs off your yoga track suit bottoms. It's so hot in hospitals, a pair of "shorts" might work with a vest top.
Fwiw, I wore the hospital gowns two at a time, one back and one front. They washed them and brought me new ones. They were lovely and airy.
Do buy lots and lots of disposable knickers in large size.

Ohs boxers sound great. I used to wear my DHs in late stages. They were silky and stretchy from MnS.

Men's boxers not at all inappropriate, tbh nothing that you feel comfortable and relaxed in would be inappropriate.

In the late stages of labour with ds I insisted on trotting off to use the toilet (had already swearily refused a catheter ), the consultant who was in the room as ds's heart rate was starting to drastically dip, was horrified, as I was naked from the waist down, and said I couldn't leave the room, but I went anyway, drip stand and all, then started pushing on the loo and panicked took me an age to get back.

Men's night wear/lounge wear? Next have lots of cotton and jersey shorts, dark colours longer than boxers and no flies.

I'm living DHs shorts at the moment as they are much nicer fabric than my piled linen ones.

I am 36 weeks pg and am living on boxer shorts! Bought me own when DH complained I was stealing his! They are super comfy and an excellent idea.

I leaked when in hospital with DS, no one will mind. Bear in mind you may bleed less with a section so it's less of a worry too.

I wandered round postnatal in a stretchy camisole top I could pull up or down to feed in and big pants as it was hot when I had DS. You may be on bed rest but your OH isn't. Send him on a mission for face spray, big pants, boxers, anything you think you'll need.

Don't panic, and just think, baby soon!! Hurray!!

I wore a maxi dress throughout my labour which was this time of year. Easy to pull up and down for inspections in bed but covered everything. Had an emergency C section at which point they make you put a gown on anyway.

Take your loose pj bottoms- no one will mind if you leak. You will only be there a few days. Has DH got any big shirts you could wear- sleeves rolled, long, easily unbuttoned? Send. him to get you a couple of pairs of loose dark jogging bottoms. Definitely pinch his boxers.

I bought special nightwear for the hospital and never wore them. The hospital gowns were much cooler to wear.

I did buy a cotton dark coloured dressing gown and used it lots.

there is nothing that the midwives won't have seen before, so your light pjs will be fine. Maybe chop the bottoms off if it's very hot. I had very festive pj bottoms for primark that I laboured in (DD was born just before Xmas) and a nightie - I have chub rub too but didn't really notice it then (mind on other things I guess!).

Best of luck, before you know it you'll have your wee boy or girl and none of it will matter.

No need to cry, once you have your baby in your arms you will forget to notice what you are wearing. Don't buy anything, pack a few options and just try and relax. Good luck.

Is there a supermarket that sells clothes near you? When I was heavily pregnant I borrowed my grans size 24 shorts (I was a size 12). They fitted amazingly.. I wore them above my bump and they were the most comfortable thing ever! If you are able to massively size up I would go for it and buy some bits that way.
