to hate this weather?

Hate going out in it - am too hot, irritable and sweat is pouring within seconds.

Trying to do what shopping I need to first thing - not easy with 2 under 18 months - then staying indoors for the rest of the day.

So depressing.

Today I agree with you. Dd has prickly heat.

Could you go to a shady park rather than stay inside all day? I'd be going crazy if I stayed inside all day !

Agreed. Summer is my least favourite season for those very reasons. Sweat is so gross, makes me feel all flustered and stressed, make up runs and hair gets wet and curly and I just generally feel grumpy and miserable. As soon as Autumn comes and the temperatures start to drop I'm happy.

I hate it too. Moved from a sweltering flat in London to Scotland. I'm much happier now.

So many people seem to think the hotter, the better.

I just don't get it.

I'm not enjoying it either. I get prickly heat and migraines if I'm in the sun too long, so spend as much time in the shade as humanly possible. I'm still taking the DC out and about but for shorter trips - park for an hour then home, then beach for a couple of hours then home again. I manage it better when I'm at home as we can play in the garden but I can retreat indoors for a bit if it's getting too much.

We did a lovely air conditioned soft play yesterday. Was heaven - pretty quiet, DS1 could run about all he liked without overheating and I didn't feel like fainting every 10 minutes!

Just seen loads of pre schoolers heading for the paddling pool. Craziness as there is in shade!

We have been out already had some fun and come home will head out again after 3 when starts to cool down!

Agree! I'm peri menopausal at 30 and having ivf and I feel like I'm going to combust in this heat! As soon as I put make up on it melts and I'm covered in a layer of sweat!

Oo it's lovely wish it was like this all the time!

I'm enjoying it, though am a bit slower at my runs on the hotter days! Where I grew up in Australia, the heat can be brutal and you don't get much anything done!

It's a nightmare trying to dress for work - I usually wear dresses which come just above my knee and these do not look appropriate without tights!

YANBU, I hate the heat too. I cannot wait for autumn/winter!

Tights and make up....Shock

Maybe that's why you aren't enjoying it! Dress for the weather and enjoy it more?

When I'm off its no make up but for my customer facing job its on but my god when I'm home the pleasure I take in removing it

I can't stand it. I end up sweaty, my hair goes messy, my forehead drips under my fringe so my fringe starts curling. Spring and Autumn are my favourite seasons.

Lauren God, you have my sympathy doing ivf in this weather. I boil up when doing it, (5 times), and that's in cooler months. Those water sprays kept in the fridge are really lovely for a temporary cool hit. Lots of luck. Thanks

I hate it too, I'm trying to do housework today and it's just horrible, I'm all sticky and sweaty and I haven't even done any heavy stuff yet, just tidying and light cleaning. I'm another one with a curly sweaty fringe.

Love it!! Wish it was like this always. Ditch the tights and wear only tinted moisturiser/mascara/lip gloss. Bare legs and sandels all the way and I have to be smart for work.
