It's very, well.....Scottish?

How many people will recognise a Tunnocks tea cake or understand the cone on the head of the statue?

Not sure everyone will even be able to understand what Karen Dunbar is saying.

Oh well... Does it matter ?

londonrach · 23/07/2014 21:18

At the present time it's embarrassing.

londonrach · 23/07/2014 21:19

Hoping it improves...this bit better....

Bearbehind · 23/07/2014 21:19

No- I feel quite sorry for the organisers really- they don't have anything like the budget of the Olympics and as that's so fresh in everyone's memory it's a really difficult act to follow.

It just doesn't look very slick, the extras look like they've all just worn their own clothes.

I am loving it - nothing embarrassing as far as I can see?

what IS the cone on the head of the statue about? (is not Scottish and doesn't know)

Eve · 23/07/2014 21:20

I do like Scotland & all things Scottish.... But.... Ok we get the message ! It's in Glasgow.

frazmum · 23/07/2014 21:20

But they had Rod.

Bearbehind · 23/07/2014 21:21

There is a statue of a man on a horse in Glasgow that always has a cone on top of it- it's a must do stag do type thing.

Susan Boyle actually is crap, isn't she? I've always said it. This song is piss easy. DD would do a better job (she is a singer btw!)

londonrach · 23/07/2014 21:22

Susan Boyle can sing...

deste · 23/07/2014 21:22

Most of our prominent statues have cones on their heads, kids fooling about, that's all.

londonrach · 23/07/2014 21:22

..flat..I think.... Come on Scotland you a proud country....

cardibach · 23/07/2014 21:23

Really londonrach - what evidence do you have? That was thin, ready and distinctly pitchy - and it's an easy song...

londonrach · 23/07/2014 21:24

Red arrows....yeah.. And the Scottish pipe men... We talking...

Middleagedmotheroftwo · 23/07/2014 21:24

It's falling a bit flat so far - or is it just me?

cardibach · 23/07/2014 21:24

Ah - x post! Used to people raving about her because she can more or less hold a tune without being thin and gorgeous Hmm

Frogisatwat · 23/07/2014 21:24

I think Susan Boyle was fine. The rest of it ahem.. in my opinion. Propaganda for Scottish independence. I shall run very quickly before my flaming. .

londonrach · 23/07/2014 21:24

..it's getting better....

Bearbehind · 23/07/2014 21:24

Not just you middleaged Grin

Tinkerball · 23/07/2014 21:25

I'm not a fan but Susan Boyle isn't crap. Sick of people just ready to compare this to the Olympics - it isn't the Olympics and hasn't any where near the budget! I doubt this would be the case if it was anywhere else in the Commonwealth.

Bearbehind · 23/07/2014 21:25

That's what I thought frog, it will do the Yes vote no harm.

OP posts:
londonrach · 23/07/2014 21:26

Tbh I thought until the pipe man arrived a vote against independence....they were good..
