I have been an eye roller but haven't been in the UK for years and found lots of responses irritating. Now I have just spent a week there, here are the things you were right about and I was wrong: Smoking outside. It is impossible to queue for a bus or taxi, walk out of a shop etc without inhaling smoke. It bloody stinks and looks horrible. This is what our generation of kids see everywhere they go Should I go to A and E? I eye rolled at the people saying no, wait and see your GP because I thought it was sad that people couldn't get access to decent healthcare. My husband had an MI last week in the UK and was cared for impeccably. I sat in a and e for several hours waiting and it was so packed they had to seat people outside in police vehicles. 99% of people were pissed and the rest were generally there laughing and having a fun day out apart from a few people in desperate pain. The 4 hour wait only seemed to apply to the people who were not suffering, the rest were dealt with quickly with kindness and quality care. Drivers. I rolled my eyes at people slagging off people in flash cars driving up your arse and behaving like wankers. Get a decent car I thought, what do you expect in a crappy Micra. Wrong again. Men and women seem to have developed an attitude of intolerance and ridiculous dangerous driving. So harpies, I apologise and submit to your guidance. You were quite right.
