We were talking about having a baby and he said when I've had my blood he'll put a son in me. What if it's a girl? He hasn't even considered the possibility. Aibu to worry about his wording/attitude?

Depends, OP. Sorry for your loss, by the way. I think maybe you need to look at this differently; is he just a realist about bringing women into the world as it is?

Nobody would be "putting a boy in me" after saying that....

That's a very bizarre thing to say

Yes I would probe a little further - you don't get to pick the sex just by saying it

His wording is weird

Sorry ... I would be very Hmm

If he has said its a boy then im pretty sure he will be dissapointed . But remind him that you cant control the sex of your child

What an odd thing to say ....

If my DP said that to me then he wouldn't be putting anything in me for quite some time. How rude Shock I think you need a serious talk about both of your views regarding children and how important gender is.

Is it a cultural thing?

I know in some cultures boys can be valued more?

Blood = period, maybe?

Either way it is an odd thing to say.

I assume OP means when she has finished her period they will start trying to conceive. I don't think there has been any loss - except menstrual blood perhaps.

Her DH sounds like an arse.

The OPs language sounds as if it stems from a different culture. OP is there pressure on you from wider family to produce sons?

MrsWinnibago · 23/07/2014 07:35

I don't think this OP is for real folks.

Have you considered adoption? You don't have to have a human baby. What about dragons?

Oh OK.

I tend to take things at face value.

There's also a good line in shadow babies. They come out as fully grown adults though, and have slight killing tendencies.

I don't understand that expression, after you've had blood? what does that mean? do you mean after your next period ? Confused

Mumof3xox · 23/07/2014 07:55
