I hate this too. Totally inconsiderate. They wouldn't like it if someone else drowned out their music with something else.. Noise pollution.

I hate this too. Especially when its shite rap music with vile lyrics that my DC don't need to hear regardless of the fact they may be too young to understand. Its so frustrating and there is nowt you can do about it without causing rifts.

A kitchen radio, playing something naice and on low volume I could deal with.

I don't put on music myself if I am in the garden. I can't use headphones because I won't hear the DC if they want something.

My neighbours' 17 and 18 year old girls were having a PA music-based argument last year. "I can still hear get music Kelly, turn it up!"

This was made even better by the act that the attached neighbour was playing her music through the TV surround system in the living room. Turned up nice and loud so you could hear it in the garden. You couldn't find a quiet spot anywhere.

It's like that here. During the week there's 'music' and noise from a car spraying place at the back of the house, on the weekends it's the farking neighbours or their farking dog/screaming child. I just wish they would STFU!

There have been multiple dog rows going on between gardens surrounding ours all day! I know dogs bark, but why leave them attacking each other for hours through the fence making that horrible noise! I've come indoors and shut the back windows in the end as it was driving me mad.

Can't wait to move on 1st August, the new area seems so peaceful, fingers crossed that is the reality when we get there.

Noise from neighbours during day time hours is just part of living in a community. Remote rural housing is the only to guarantee silence. I like the sounds of people, I would find silence quite eerie.

My neighbours are like that as soon as the suns out they turn their music up full blast I wouldnt mind but their polish so cant understand a bloody word of it.

I'm in an apartment at the minute on the top floor and have below me playing music - it's foreign (Russian I think) so don't know what it's saying, next door I've a guy playing guitar and singing. Badly. In English.
In the block to my left I can hear what sounds like Celine Dion. To my right I can hear the radio and someone blasting foreign hip hop Oh and magpies chattering to each other on the roof above my head.
It's 35 degree's today so everyone's got their apartment doors open.

When I'm my garden in the UK, my neighbour has a shed/music studio in his garden - although he's tried to sound proof, it hasn't bloody worked. Then just as you think you'll get a little peace come 5/6 pm the other neighbour comes home from work and sits outside teaching himself to play guitar.

yes, Im sure we would if we could, if we had the means/finances to. some of us don't have much choice where we live FFS,

and I HATE the fact as soon as the sun makes the slightest appearance, there they all go, music is for PERSONAL use, if you want to 'share' it, go to a bloody gig or nightclub!

I have a thing about this too I am more chilled than I used to be but basically I think it's really selfish to impose your music on your neighbours. i find it even worse if I can only hear the beat and not the song.

I live in central London but am incredibly lucky in this street that the neighbours are really considerate.

It's a tad off to inflict your taste in music on your neighbours. I bet mine would be pissed if I played Carmen full blast for hours. A bit of consideration costs nothing but means so much.
