AIBU?

AIBU to make DP eat his liver & onions in the other room?

Just that really - I brought him liver and onions to have on Thursday night as I'm out and he's had them tonight instead. He's come in late and cooked them up and they absolutely stink. It's making me gag. I told him he could eat in the dining room not on the tray in our living room and his response was "are you really going to make me eat in the dining room?" Mine was, "well, yes". So he is. I feel guilty now

Was IBU?

I don't think you're being unreasonable if it really makes you sick. My husband loves clam chowder, but the smell of it makes me wretch. I buy it for him, but ask him to eat it when I'm not home.

I don't feel as guilt now, he's just walked back in and says even he feels sick because of the amount of meat he's eaten! Then proceeded to tell me that one piece he cut open and there was vein in it

That is foul. Why does he want to eat them? I hate it when my friends get black pudding at breakfast. It means makes me feel so sick m.

This thread made me laugh. I like liver and bacon. Not often though. Its not everyone's cup of tea. I can see how you feel like spewing. It does have that 'dog meat' aroma Grin

Ye Gods no, YADNBU!!!! I cannot stand the smell of liver!!
When I was living with my DM a few years ago I went away for a long weekend Thursday to Tuesday morning. She bought herself some liver to have whilst I was away because she knew how much I hate it. She had it on the Thursday night and I swear I could still smell it when I got back. Vom, vom, and a thousand times vom! Envy

My mum (a teacher) banned cheese and onion crisps on school trips because the smell made her feel so grim.

Yanbu.

Ugh, my OH would be eating in the garden, so yours got off lightly!

He and the toddler goto his mums for liver and bacon when I'm working late. The toddler is a traitor and loves the stuff.

Kidneys smell worse than liver.

I used to feel ill when a housemate cooked corned beef hash. It was the only thing he could cook.

I hate Kidney too hiddenhome - absolutely gross.

And cornbeef hash gives me nightmares mrsmook my mum used to make me eat it when I was a kid. I hated it. DP likes that too - apparently it is nice with chips on bread as the fat in the meat melts when the chips touch it Shock just gross!

I love liver, but admit it has a err unique smell, so I can see your point, OP.

YANBU. Liver, ick. I won't have the vile stuff in the house.

Which led to poor DH getting extensively laughed at in a cafe by the woman-of-the-world waitress for excitedly ordering it and saying "I have to get it wherever I can when I'm out, my wife doesn't let me have any at home".
