To love Frys Chocolate?

I don't really like dark chocolate but I love Frys.

I have a bar of mint cream and one orange cream.

I think the Orange is my favourite. It also reminds of my Great Grandfather who uses to sneak us it in church.

He used to tell us it was magic and kept him alive.

Anyone else?

My granddad used to share his frys mint cream with me too smile

YANBU for liking it, you now make me want some!

However orange chocolate is disgusting, in any form. The plain or mint is yum.

I haven't even seen any Fry's chocolate since I was at school and I'm nearly 60! I didn't think it was still available.

Best chocolate ever.

Me too. Always reminds me of my grandad as well - must be a 'that generation' thing. Don't care that the fondant is so sweet I can literally feel the cavitys it's making.grin
Am sure they did one with five different flavours down the middle? five alives maybe? Got a soft spot for golden cups too but haven't seen them in ages sad

It was in B&Ms for only 39p each!

I'm going to stock up next time. I was checking it hadn't changed like the rest.

I've eaten the orange one and tempted by the mint but might save it for tomorrow.

What's B & Ms? What country do you live in?

JustCallMeBaldrick Mon 11-Nov-13 19:15:08

I love Fry's!! It's so sweet it makes my teeth ache smile

I'm in England. It is a marvellous store that sells marvellous things at cheap and marvellous prices.

B & M Bargains is brilliant in North West England. I miss it, though we have Home Bargains elsewhere which is nearly as good.

Sometimes they are a 4-pack for a pound in asda. I love them, but only the blue one, the green one is an abomination.

Pobblewhohasnotoes Mon 11-Nov-13 19:18:28

B&M are in the midlands too!

Heartbrokenmum73 Mon 11-Nov-13 19:19:54

Does anyone else remember the mixed bar (fruit?) that had a different flavour in each section?

Delicious!

Still very partial to the mint one too.

CombineBananaFister Frys Five Centres, my favourite bar of chocolate of all time, not found for more than 20 years sad

YokoUhOh Mon 11-Nov-13 19:24:47

Found a blue one in the staffroom today, jumped on it and almost boshed it in one mouthful.

YANBU - they're extremely delicious!

I could have bought the whole contents of the chocolate aisle tbh

Heartbrokenmum73 Mon 11-Nov-13 19:31:47

I see I skim-read the thread in my excitement and repeated a question that had already been asked grin

WestieMamma Mon 11-Nov-13 19:36:08

Fry's is my favourite. My mum sends me aid parcels full of it. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long sad

SpottyDottie Mon 11-Nov-13 19:38:10

We have Mr Simms sweet shops and they sell Frys chocolate. Mmm yum!

SPsDoesntLikeChaffingFishnets Mon 11-Nov-13 19:49:51

I haven't seen it in Home Bargins or anywhere.

I did get excited when I saw it. My Great Grandad had loads of bars stashed around the house.

A year after he died at 86 my great grandmother kept finding them grin

Ocado still sell them grin

I love their Turkish Delight too - definitely the best.

Pack of 4 in Poundland at the weekend

They were lush grin

SPsDoesntLikeChaffingFishnets Mon 11-Nov-13 20:07:17

I've never seen them in Poundland. I will go searching this week.

Heartbrokenmum73 Mon 11-Nov-13 20:08:50

Am I right to be extremely concerned now???

I've moved from Birmingham to Dorset in the last three months. Frys chocolate was easily come by there, but I haven't checked it's level of availability down here.

Am breaking out in a cold sweat now - what if I check the shops tomorrow and...*they don't sell it here?*
