Long holidays.
Work till 3.30

Anyone care to join in? Seeing as it's the current theme at the moment.

kim147 Mon 30-Sep-13 20:24:20

It's only colouring in in primary.

AngelsLieToKeepControl Mon 30-Sep-13 20:24:20

Staffroom biscuits are paid for out of PTA funds, the poor children suffer so the teachers can get a chocolate digestive grin

Not enough discipline in schools.
Too much discipline in schools.

Anniegetyourgun Mon 30-Sep-13 20:25:01

Some irony detectors need tuning...

YouTheCat Mon 30-Sep-13 20:25:11

Teachers just sit about drinking coffee all day...

stargirl1701 Mon 30-Sep-13 20:25:26

Easy job.
Only for people who can't cope in a real job.
Gold plated pension.
Retire at 60.

It's been pretty shit on MN over the last few days.

MrsAbernethy Mon 30-Sep-13 20:25:35

Gold plated pensions at the expense of all other taxpayers...grin

UnexpectedStepmum Mon 30-Sep-13 20:25:56

Holiday every few weeks, finish at 3 every day, gold plated pensions, couldn't get a proper job, can't control a class, strike at the drop of a hat, loads of "training days", always complaining.

HOUSE!!!

FortyDoorsToNowhere Mon 30-Sep-13 20:26:17

They gossip about parents in the staff room.

kim147 Mon 30-Sep-13 20:26:19

Teachers don't get paid for the holidays.

Or they do. One of these is guaranteed on a teacher thread.

HumphreyCobbler Mon 30-Sep-13 20:27:08

should I mark their typo with a red pen thus proving how much more intelligent I am than they are

HaroldLloyd Mon 30-Sep-13 20:27:54

Teachers don't know they are born, they get loads of holiday, free chalk and tea, finish at 3.30, get paid loads of cash and have stonking great pensions.

They also all MOAN all the time. They should try working in an equivalent role in the private sector where they will have to work 8-8 with only half a days holiday, no free chalk and a rubbish pension. For a quarter of the salary.

That should cover most of it!

FortyDoorsToNowhere Mon 30-Sep-13 20:28:01

May I just add I think teachers do a great job.

I don't think I could if survived the last 3-4 years without the teachers my DS has had.

SilverApples Mon 30-Sep-13 20:28:07

Never lived in the real job world as an adult
Don't care about children with SN
Enjoy setting homework
Will take out any complaint you make on your child, so you'd better not complain
Can't spell or use grammar with any degree of accuracy

Are you sure you want this thread, kim my lovely?
Wouldn't it be easier to just whip ourselves with brambles instead?

HaroldLloyd Mon 30-Sep-13 20:30:40

Boggles my mind. If people think its so great to be teachers, why dont they be a bloody teacher.

Im not a teacher. I only have 2 kids and thats driving me to the brink!

SilverApples Mon 30-Sep-13 20:31:17

Enjoy picking over the contents of lunchboxes even though they are unhealthy piggers of biscuits themselves
Spend too long fussing about the uniform and make up of pupils in secondary
Only teach because they aren't capable of making it in any other career

SilverApples Mon 30-Sep-13 20:32:11

Let us not mention taking family members on school trips, Oh Best Beloveds.

Hassled Mon 30-Sep-13 20:33:18

Inset days are just an extra holiday for teachers. Trufact.

Teachers love the PTA so much they let them sit in the front rows at concerts and give their kids the lead roles.

wickeddevil Mon 30-Sep-13 20:34:04

Those that can do

wiganwagonwheelworks Mon 30-Sep-13 20:34:37
