I share a drive with my neighbour - one side is mine and one side is hers. We generally get on well, no issues.
However, her plumber nephew rents her garage and a few weeks ago I've found him parked on my drive when no car was on her drive just because he couldn't be bothered to move her bins. I asked him to move and he said, ''well, you're not using the drive love'' then smiled and refused to move until he'd finished moving stuff out of the garage.
I told him then that I use my drive (I don't have a car but my work colleague Loren parks there on her shifts, and my family and friends also park on my drive at various times when they visit, almost daily).
I told him to knock on my door and ask to use my drive in future.
This evening Loren rang the doorbell because 'a van was in the way'. Yes, his van was parked on my drive blocking her car. He was in the garage and in NO hurry to move his van.
I lost my temper, said why hadn't he asked like I told him to before and had to actually shout at him so he would move his van out of Loren's way. My neighbour actually came out, looked a bit nervous and went back in.
Was AIBU to shout at the annoying entitled fucker him?
I didn't want to fall out with my neighbour but she is useless at being assertive with men.
I still said he can ASK if he needs to park there temporarily in future.
Rant over. I feel better now!
