To not fancy Brad Pitt or George Clooney and other cliches of our time

This is meant to be light-hearted and if you have an enormous crush on either (or both) of these fine actors, then fair play to you but am I alone in thinking that a lot of lazy, cliched chick lit presumes that just cos you're a heterosexual woman in your 40s you're automatically gagging for these two? Feel free to add your own most hated cliche, chick lit or otherwise.

Not for these 2, no thanks (but if you'd mentioned Vin Diesel, oh it would have been a different story!) Grin
Actually, Bill Pullman turns my insides to mush in "While you were SLeeping"!

Brad Pitt looks like he hasn't washed in months. Cannot see the attraction there at all!

Mel Gibson

Before his real self showed I could never see the attraction

or Patrick Swayze

This idea that women want muscly men.

YANBU! Although Jonny Depp now is rather yum...
Bill Pullman used to be hot, not so much anymore, he just looked creepy in Torchwood.
Don't do chick lit anyway, if I met a real life Bridget Jones type or any of those other 'heroines' I'd be tempted to slap them. That goes for the male characters too.
Any bloke who looks like he spends longer to get ready than me is a big no no.

I don't fancy GC, BP or Johnny Depp which makes me a modern medical miracle. I just don't like being corralled. There is nothing less sexy than being told THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST FIND SEXY.

Keep them coming ladies!

I still love John Cusak after seeing him in Say Anything many years ago, he's never really been a cliched heart throb. Don't restrict the cliches to men we're "supposed" to fancy, throw them all out there, it's liberating!!

Probably abit strong here but the moment brad did the dirty on my friend rachel from friends he became the most unattractive man. I refuse to see anything with him or spider lady in. Over the years he's getting less attractive whilst jen aka rachel is getting better.

Now Robert Sean Leonard from dead poets society and house.....Or gilbert from Anne if green gables.....

I don't see the attraction with Brad Pitt at all, no idea how he can be considered good looking. George Clooney on the other hand is rather nice to look at. But I don't tend to fancy traditionally 'hot' men. I had quite a saucy nice dream about Chris O'Dowd last night.

I've never seen the appeal of Brad Pitt - Alan Rickman is the only one for me Smile

My OH worked on a film with Clooney and got to spend some time with him. He persuaded my OH that the lifestyle of the single man was great - it was essential to be free. He had an Italian underwear model on his arm at the time and spent half of his time in Italy, half filming. My OH subsquently left me after 20 years together. It will in time make a very funny story but I am not keen on the Clooney. He has a bad back and is claustrophobia - loves playing 'practical' jokes that are not funny. He gave some members of the crew a wooden swing as a present. Swingers, geddit? But then I never was keen on Clooney - a man has to have some substance for me. Brad Pitt similarly always seemed like a pretty boy. Now he seems very ropey - I find nothing to get excited about.

Give me Hugh Jackman any day. Manly but sweet, funny when interviewed and clearly bonkers about his wife. Now THAT'S a sexy man!

Sean Connery went through a very "yum" phase, not when he was young though, and not now either.
I never understood the whole thing about Kevin Costner, Van Damme, Siegal, Tom Cruise (??), Michael J Fox (am I showing my age now?)

Michael J Fox - I get very warm feelings. He was a pocket prince.

Hugh Jackman, definitely a yes from me, and I'm sorry to say that Colin Firth does too!

A lot have aged very well though, I watched The Invention of Lying last night (godawful film!) and thought Rob Lowe has grown into his face rather nicely, even with the silly glasses on.
I usually agree with Heat magazines weird crush article. Give me a bit of a geek who can laugh me into bed any day!!
It's being told which women we should emulate that really arses me off, much more than having 'attractive' men shoved down my throat.
That TOWIE bunch and the like are people we should hold up to our daughters as role models? Not bloody likely!

Agree completely about Tom Cruise, he always had little rodenty teeth and no sense of his own limitations. Something very creepy about him.

Clooney is smug and didactic. He looks like one of those men who is so lovely and charming as long as you never criticise or question him (like EA men - not saying he is one btw). I used to like him and he seemed one of the good guys - making interesting films over blockbusters, supporting the right causes. But now I think he does it out of vanity and megalomania as opposed to someone like Matt Damon who does genuinely seem committed to advocating certain issues.

Hugh jackman

And Robert Downey when Hugh is busy.

Robert Downey jr. Oh yes... Never has a beard looked so good...
And David Mitchell... Blush although a night with him would be spent having intelligent debate, a nice glass of port with good cheeses and a peck on the cheek I think...

Oh yes, Huge Jackman. I also quite like Bradley Cooper and Adam Scott (I'm basing these entirely on looks [shallow], I know nothing of their personalities!)

Tom Cruise is just plain odd.

Hugh not Huge Blush

I've no idea as to his size.

I don't get the attraction of George Clooney but I think Brad Pitt is hot, have done for years. He's top of my celeb list!

I used to love Robert Downey Jr when he was in Ally McBeal.
