Tis my first AIBU be nice .

Right I won a large item on eBay and arranged for a local 'man and van' to help my Dp dismantle it and then deliver it to my home .
He only helped my Dp dismantle part of the shed and then left to do another 3 jobs
so I basically hired him for 2 hours from 4-6 and he only helped Dp for half hour before leaving and saying he would be back later to collect , he eventually turned up at 10.15 (i had spoke to him at 8 and he said he was just round the corner)to collect by which point I had txt saying not to bother as he was taking the piss .
He still went to the house and tried to take half of the shed until he had got what was owed to him , luckily the seller didnt let him take anything though he did refuse to leave until they threatened to ring the police , since then I have had txts and phone calls demanding money but I honestly don't know whether I should pay him as he did not deliver the service I hired him for .So aibu to not pay him as he is expecting £60

Pay him what he earned according to how much time he was actually there. I imagine you had agreed an hourly rate?

I wouldnt pay. I would text him back and ask why is he is wanting full payment. Your contract with him was for 2 hours and during that time he had to do x,y and z.. however he failed to do this and left during the 2 hours for whatever reasons and retured over 4 hours later.

If i paid him anything it would be £15, which is equal to 30 minutes of work.. I would make this offer after getting his reply from the above..

My only contact now would be text/email/letter so if he decided to take it to court there is written evidence of what happened.

I was happy to pay him a cut until he started threatening and the sellers who's house he sat outside for a good half hour were genuinely concerned he was going to do something as he became very angry once he realised he could not take it .
I have now had to find somebody at short notice to collect which is also costing me £60 and not wanting it to cost me extra iyswim

I'm trying not to be bullied squoosh , I was very calm and controlled when speaking to him which is completely out of character he has said he will be outside my house all day tomorrow and until he gets what he wreckons he owed
