To think Victorias Secret is a bit trashy

went to Bond Street store today as DD wanted to go there.

It all looked a bit cheap even if the prices weren't, £11 for a pair of plain pants.

Sort of but not really- iykwim.
The bras are very well made and if you're not average, the best place I've ever been. I'm not a big fan of non cotton knickers, so I don't like them for pants, but the stretching and posing sports wear is good. Do they do pink Hmm for girls here?

I am interested in replies to this. I have applied for a job with them and it will help me judge whether to go in my normals or go for the full extensions and scouse brow look.

Different horses for courses y'know...
Why do you care what other women are wearing under their clothes?

Some people are conservative, some extrovert etc etc etc..
Why do you like the things you like? I bet not everything you like is to my cup of tea and vice versa!

i think it's quite expensive for the quality, and useless to me as they only go up to a DD. Went shopping there with a friend and it seemed to me ALL the bras are padded.

very much aimed at teens/v young women here (n america)

Loads of choice though - our local one is huge. And well laid out - easy to find the right size in the drawers

I love the Victoria Secret full coverage bras. They are my favorite as they are so comfy! But I've never been to the shop. I always order online.

I quite like their stuff. Then again I like trashy undies rather than big pants!

No. I don't really have a huge problem with models per se, but I think the whole VS angels thing has just become gross. I hate going in the stores - it's been years. I used to buy all my stuff there (it's cheap and I'm not picky about underwear) but now that I'm so old, I just go to M&S.

I don't think they're particularly trashy. I'm more upset by their completely inaccurate measuring methods which result in almost anyone they measure ending up with the wrong size bra.

Sorell that's interesting- we were in NY, so ybe they're better trained. DD is 32 HH at VS and was given 34j at Bravissimo which reaaly hurt and utterly random selection which had no points of similarity except that they all looked like something an obese nun would wear at M&S.
I went down my normal back size and up to a B- the whole experience for both of us was by far the best either of us has ever had, and we couldn't be more different.

In VS they fit by measuring across the top of your boobs which is completely wrong. To be fair a 32HH and a 34J are not miles apart in size (the latter is roughly two cups bigger as the cup volume on a 32HH is equivalent to the cup volume on a 34H).

Bear in mind too that in the Us they frequently miss out the double letters and do some weird things like calling an E cup a DDD.

I'm surprised at your Bravissimo experience as they stock some lovely bras which IMHO are much more well made than anything you can buy in VS. Obviously someone with bigger boobs is going to need a bra with Moore structured support. As a B cup that probably isn't so much of an issue for you (a B cup is someone whose across bust measurement is two inches bigger than their under bust measurement).

VS have an appalling reputation for bra fitting and are known for fitting you to the bras they stock rather than being honest and admitting they don't have anything in your (correct) size. Google VS fitting experiences to read about some awful experiences.

I too have only ever heard bad things about their fitting service. They don't stock bras above a "DDD" (which is a UK E I think) on their website which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their abilities to fit properly.

sorell I was delighted to have a B cup Blush it's no biggie when you're flat, I was just impressed that 2 very different shapes and 30 years age difference came away v happy.
We've been to bravissimo twice- each time came out £100 lighter and with bras she's discarded after a couple of wears as too uncomfortable. It might be that she just needs more support and she's not used to it. And never having had to wear a bra myself I can't reassure her that that's what it's meant to feel like.

I hate that they've taken over la senza. It's crap undies for small women now where it used to be fab for larger ladies like me

I think some of their stuff is trashy, but some of it is nice. I have this bra set but in the non-underwired version Pink Stripe and it looks lovely on. The knickers had thong, brazilizn etc as options but I choose just the normal briefs, the set looks great together and I am happy with the quality. The service from the shop assistants was fabulous, though I haven't been in a UK VS store so maybe they aren't as good here.

It's not their customer service as such which is the issue, it's the way they're taught to measure and fit. Completely bonkers. The VS store I went in last month in Florida had no bras smaller than a 32 back or bigger than a DD cup. If they measured me according to their methods I'd be around a 36/38D. I'm a 30GG.

I was under the impression that trashy is kinda the point of VS...

I like their 'full bum' coverage pants... I always stock up when I'm in Florida. I wonder if they have the same ones here...?

Strangely enough, me and DD were looking in the window of our local VS.
It appeared to be strippers underwear. DD was shocked (she is 11, going on 87) at how small the knickers were.

I thought its supposed to be trashy too - the object being getting laid, not having a comfy pair of pants on your behind?
