Did he inherit his jug ears and potato face from her?

more importantly did she say Lew-wis or Loo-wee?

JulieCarp Sun 07-Apr-13 21:35:19

I would have said
Oh god yes my son has SARS--ruuuuuuuuuun !grin

You are class, I would have nutted her. <sensitive when it comes to DS>

Altinkum Sun 07-Apr-13 21:36:51

I'd have laughed at her, and then gave her son the carrot!

Asthma sucks, last month ds2 had 4 asthma attacks and 3 in or day where he had to be taken to critical care, and resuss.

Hope your child is ok, un MN, but hugs as it well and turkey sucks and not many people understand what a bloody killer it can be.

I think you handled that brilliantly. Hope your DS is better.

I would have hi fived you. Or maybe done a fistpump.

WorraLiberty Sun 07-Apr-13 21:38:39

I would have apologised and pointed out my son only had swine flu and measles....

CutePuppy Sun 07-Apr-13 21:39:18

Braver than me!

CheCazzo Sun 07-Apr-13 21:39:26

I'd have given her something to really worry about and puked at her feet! That would have made her dance! grin

WorraLiberty Sun 07-Apr-13 21:40:44

I might also have faked concern and said "I hope your poor child isn't here with an ear infection?"

Loo-ee's mum is a tool. I would bet that the majority of the waiting room were internally cheering you on.
Hope your Dc's asthma settles soon, it's horrible when they have prolonged flare ups, poor love.

A&E is grim, hope your son is feeling better.

Poor Louis he has got years of it ahead.

AgentZigzag Sun 07-Apr-13 21:42:55

She's got a point with all lurgies lurking in hospitals, but she was being unreasonable to try and pin the blame for it on your DS.

Hope he's feeling better now, DD1 has had to go into hospital a couple of times with her asthma and it's fucking nasty seeing your DC not being able to catch their breath.

AnyoneforTurps Sun 07-Apr-13 21:43:18

Good for you!

ReindeerBollocks Sun 07-Apr-13 21:43:18

Just seen you on the Manc thread TSC. If you were at a certain A&E then I'm surprised and think that's rather minor wink

However yes, she was a cow - good response from you though.

Floggingmolly Sun 07-Apr-13 21:47:05

What was she there for, if Louis wasn't also full of shit germs?
Hospitals are for sick people, right? confused. Did she take a wrong turn on her way to soft play?

Bet her and Louis will be at Head over Heels tomorrow and she won't be thinking about germs then, far too much mummy networking to do. I am making wild assumptions based on one post btw. grin

BeaWheesht Sun 07-Apr-13 21:50:13

I'd have told her he had bubonic plague or similar and I say that as someone who suffers with health anxiety re her kids. No excuse to be bloody rude!

olivertheoctopus Sun 07-Apr-13 21:51:32

YANBU!! Brilliant response, well done you.

Badvoc Sun 07-Apr-13 21:52:31

Much respect TSC.
Hope ds is feeling better x

ImTooHecsyForYourParty Sun 07-Apr-13 21:52:46

I think you can be forgiven. grin

What did she say/do after that?

BlackeyedSusan Sun 07-Apr-13 21:53:25

if she does not like the lurrgies she should have bought toys/kept him in the pushchair/kept her own child away from the toys.
