A friend of mine calls her pets furbabies. She posts photos of them every day on FB. Yesterday she posted them with bunny ears on hmm I do luffs her though.

I fear dd is picking up these types of linguistic habits. Her texts are mainly signed off with 'love yous, laters lolz' hmm and she says nomnom, epic fail and sick on a regular basis.

Our remote is hoofer.

and I say sockybockys

I'm having a lovely day unfriending twats who seem to want to announce every part of their fecking holiday;

On our way to the airport (great, handy for burglars to know!)
Oooh at the check-in desk
At the duty free, naughty me
Having lunch at the airport
At the departure gate, sooooo excited
On the plane

Then,

Arrive at <insert airport name>, ooh so excited!

For fecks sake, can't people go away for a few days without announcing every detail??

" love you lots like jelly tots" <hurl>

Shockers The only way that could have been worse would have been if it had been a "cosy" bed

Cosy!!!!!

" love you lots like jelly tots"

That just sounds like a paedophile's chat up line. Possibly used on their hollibobs to Thailand.

Anyone mentioned "my 'puter" yet? I really want to throttle people who say that.

I think DD has cottoned on to the fact that 'yummy yummy in my tummy' makes me snarl, as she keeps saying it with an evil expression on her face.

Hollibobs/ ickle man/ stinky poo/ totes amazeballs... Actually, anything that looks right followed by multiple exclamation marks is not looking good in the vlad house.

"I quite like that!!!!" vs "that's totes amazeballs!!!!!" - see what I mean?

WorraLiberty Tue 02-Apr-13 11:16:40

I used to work for a David Brent type character and whenever you did something good, he'd say...

"Far out brussel sprout!"

I could barely bring myself to type that hmm

vladthedisorganised Tue 02-Apr-13 11:53:38

Oh my good God worra...

Pan Tue 02-Apr-13 12:38:11

'puter user here! < I seem to sin more than sinned against on this thread>

brussel sprout. jeez.

MrRected Tue 02-Apr-13 12:46:29

MrRected Tue 02-Apr-13 12:48:32

Fur babies is barftastic!!

I have never heard of hollibobs - only holibags (nearly as bad)

xigris Tue 02-Apr-13 15:07:54

Over Easter a friend of mine posted a photo of her lunch with the teeth-itchingly, eye bleedingly, caption "nom nom! Yummy din dins". Words failed me and I had to go and lie down for a while. hmm

GogoGobo Tue 02-Apr-13 15:51:28

mrrected there is a certain irony that you are using barftastic!! to describe your annoyance at the phrase fur babies........

SocialGrace Tue 02-Apr-13 15:56:36

I like, and say, quite a few of these; and am planning to steal niblings henceforth.

<gets coat>

<puts coat back again for fear of others finding the fetching of said coat intensely irritating>

<realises use of "said coat" is probably more irritating to most on this thread than getting coat in the first place. Slinks off, coatless and a bit chilly>

shockers Tue 02-Apr-13 20:42:47

{grin]

shockers Tue 02-Apr-13 20:44:46

Or even grin!

I wish I could show fb friend how well her status updates were received her... she would 'whoop whoop' with joy!

shockers Tue 02-Apr-13 20:46:04

"here!

am slightly pissed (it's the holibobs, don't judge me!)

xigris Tue 02-Apr-13 20:56:35

She'd probably ROFL grin

shockers Tue 02-Apr-13 21:15:15

Oh no... she never ROFL, she L'H'FAO...grin

I actually like her, but her fb post make me squirm a bit.

MrRected Wed 03-Apr-13 03:34:52

GogoGobo - that was the point grin

ChairmanWow Wed 03-Apr-13 07:45:14

Anyone who announces that it's Friday on FB like it's some kind of massive surprise: No more workies, it's Friday!!!! Whoop whoop! You've mastered the days of the week. Have a fucking medal. Twat.

People who call breasts 'chesticles'. First against the wall for me.

xigris Wed 03-Apr-13 08:21:28

On the subject, anyone who says things like "Happy Wednesday, people!" (Have had a few of those from fb friends) needs a slap too

Creamtea1 Wed 03-Apr-13 19:04:20

" love you lots like jelly tots"

exactly that

Has anyone said 'lush' yet? As in 'just had a lush session at the spa', 'that dinner was lush', 'those shoes are lush'. Lush is only to be used when describing a lawn or field.

IAmLouisWalsh Wed 03-Apr-13 21:11:28

Mmmm - on my holibobs, it's wine o'clock, ickle men all tucked up in cosy beds and hubster made me lush omelette for tea - nomnomnom. Gawjus - luffs him lots like jelly tots.
