Just back from soft play hell. Ds1 was in the bit for older children playing happily, I was in the under 3's bit with ds2 who is 20 months.

A couple get in with their little girl who must have been about 1. After about 5 mins she was sick a large Amount of food. I picked up ds2 and brought him out while I thought they would sort out their dd, they took a baby wipe and cleaned her face and a second wipe to the floor. Then carried on playingshock. The floor and baby still has sick on them and they had her crawling all over the place.

I just sat there in disbelief and obviously with a huge wedgy from my judgey pants being hiked so high. Obviously I told one of the staff and we then all had to leave, much to the disgust of ds1.

Please tell me this is the worst it gets, there can't be scummier people than that out there!

DesperatelySeekingSedatives Thu 28-Mar-13 13:53:11

That is foul. YANBU to be judgey.

ItsAllTLAsToMe Thu 28-Mar-13 13:53:49

This is why I don't go to soft play. All of the vomit at the bottom of the ball pit.

thezebrawearspurple Thu 28-Mar-13 13:54:43

That is disgusting, how on earth do they think that ok?shock

lunar1 Thu 28-Mar-13 13:55:38

It's making my skin crawl to think about it, both boys were in the bath within 10 mins of getting home!

Happydotcom Thu 28-Mar-13 13:56:24

It is disgusting, but I am going to lob in the kids'party I was at. Little girl, 3 or 4 years old soiled herself (pants, not nappy) It smelled disgusting and started to run down her legs. No way the parents didn't notice it but did nothing. I was heaving from the smell.

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie Thu 28-Mar-13 14:02:19

I would like to add the friend who changes her 3 year old's nappy with him on the floor in front of 5 other people eating a buffet. It was a poo aswell.

SirBoobAlot Thu 28-Mar-13 14:06:58

Ew. Ew. EW.

Another reason not to visit soft play centers...

spanky2 Thu 28-Mar-13 14:11:22

Someone I know knew her dd had done a poo on the soft play area and was not bothered about looking for it and expected the staff to do it. They weren't bothered .shock

BegoniaBampot Thu 28-Mar-13 14:15:24

Found a poo in the older kids section. The kids were all just giggling and upping over it, god knows how long it was there! Also saw a poo in the local swimming pool once.

BlueberryHill Thu 28-Mar-13 14:24:21

Poo in a gym shower, adult size as well.

Softlysoftly Thu 28-Mar-13 14:25:59

Friends pfb came out of the soft play tunnel once aged about 8mnths hands covered on chocolate.

Only it wasn't chocolate. ....

We were in a restaurant and Mr & Mrs Lardyarse were sat opposite us while their two children ran rings around another customer while his carer fed him (major cp, in a wheelchair). Kids were staring lots but continuing to run around, being loud and obnoxious between mouthfuls of chips and ketchup. Parents were cramming burgers and fries down their own necks ignoring their offspring until one of the waitresses had a quiet word. Mrs Lardyarse screeched at the boys to sit down and one then puked all over the table. It was vile. Waitress (bless her) brought a load of napkins over for Mrs Lardyarse to clear up her kid's vomit gringringrin who then realised she was being glared at by everyone but the guy with cp who, lucky for him, had his back to the whole thing.
Mrs Lardyarse arse then pronounced to the whole room, in her best EastEnders, "Ee ain' wew" (Roughly translates as 'he is unwell') in response to the judging, huffing and tutting.
That family were the stuff of nightmares.

Tailtwister Thu 28-Mar-13 14:27:49

Yuck! That's absolutely foul.

As for the poo...who in their right mind poos in a public shower! That's one of the rankest things I've ever heard.

One of the worst things I've ever seen was in a baby changing room/toilet. Honestly, the whole toilet, sink and floor was covered with liquid shit. It was horrific. I only opened the door, hadn't stepped in thankfully.

Ew I hate soft play centres for that reason - thank god mine are getting a bit old to want to go to them grin

Years ago we went to a birthday party at one of these places - the birthday child was wearing a big birthday badge with a huge pin through - which he suddenly realised the pin had come off somwhere in the ball pit and he was just left with the front bit. His mum told the staff who basically said that things get lost in there all the time and they couldn't possibly begin to find anything shock

BlissfullyIgnorant Thu 28-Mar-13 14:31:35

SIL tells me of changing room horror stories, all in ladies' attire: poo on floor, used towels (yes, THAT kind) on floor, tampons on floor - also used, along with applicators, soiled knickers left behind...there are even women who try on clothes and hand them back to the fitting room attendant as 'poor fit' complete with period stains.
She gave up on women's clothing and now does footwear.

HappyJoyful Thu 28-Mar-13 14:34:39

I'm not squeamish and don't consider my stomach to turn easily, but an adults poo in a shower would have me running for nearest toilet to vomit in. Kids puke/sick possibly not so.

I know I stopped going to the gym after I saw women cutting her toe nails all over changing room and don't get me started on public swimming pool changing rooms, as I say, don't consider stomach turned easily, but the slimy floors and used sanitary towel I found once has put me off said pool for life.

Hot snot, bogey pie
All washed down with a dead dog's eye
Mix it quick and mix it thick
All washed down with a cold cup of sick.

Being served at a soft play centre near you.

TheElephantIsADaintyBird Thu 28-Mar-13 15:00:27

There's no such thing as an adult sized poo blueberry, my DS (3) does poos waaaay bigger than mine!

I'd love to open the worlds first hygienic soft play centre. I'd sit there all night scrubbing each ball with a anti-bac wipes...it's the stuff of dreams.

EmpireBiscuit Thu 28-Mar-13 15:01:48

I used to work in a sunbed shop and had to empty pee out of the cubicle waste paper bins more than once boak

MaidMiniEgg2012 Thu 28-Mar-13 15:17:05

What a delightful thread!!!!

People never fail to disgust me shock

LadyMaryCrawley Thu 28-Mar-13 15:23:29

We once had to clear an adult poo out of a urinal at work. The perp had done it during the interval. And we weren't sold out either so it's not like there was a massive queue for cubicles.

I really wish I hadn't started this, who knew people could be so minging!
