AIBU?

To despair at EVER finding a bra that fits?!

So, I have read every website on the subject, been measured at Bravissimo, and STILL find every single bra uncomfortable - even the ones that Bravissimo said were the right size. I just want to rip the thing off as soon as I get in from work. They seem fine for about an hour, then start to dig in.

I find that they just 'curl up' at the back, and I get horrible back fat, or dig in at the side/arm pit, but mainly on just one side! The band never seems to sit flush to my side iyswim. I have tried going up a band and down a cup, down a band and up a cup etc, have tried every style going..........

I found when I wore my saggy old too big bras they gave me no shape or support, but my god they were comfy!

I think I am about a 36/38 E/F. I have ordered and sent back about ten bras this last month as they just all HURT.

So, AIBU to just let 'em all hang out and be pain-free??!!!!

Hanging out will be worse! What about a non-wired sports bra?

ilovepowerhoop · 06/02/2013 17:47

Whats your measurements?

Silverstar2 · 06/02/2013 17:49

37" under bust, 44" over.

Off to a spin class now, will catch up later.

I've got breast a-symetry and have a nightmare when it comes to bras. I used to wear bras that fitted my smaller boob and the bigger one spilled out. Now i wear one to fit the bigger boob, but I find that It means the other cup sits too high up on my armpit and digs in because there is nothing to fill it. Thats why I love my sports bras so much, just wish they made one that didn't show under clothes!

wineandroses · 06/02/2013 18:10

I have v large boobs and have always struggled to get decent bras (can't wear underwires since I had DC as I now find them too painful) and the straps always seemed to be too thin (folded over). However, I have now found the most comfortable yet supportive bra I have ever worn - it is called the Anita Jana Soft Support Bra 5427 and it is from www.needundies.com. They have a fab range of bras. HTH.

AnyFucker · 06/02/2013 18:14

I haven't got big boobs and can't find a bra that fits properly either, so it's not just confined to the well-endowed Smile

I think the perfectly fitting bra is a dream I can never attain

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 06/02/2013 18:15

Im a 38F and bras hurt me so much, my boobs are really heavy, so finding comfy bras is out.

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 06/02/2013 18:16

Anyone tried the Belvia bras?

TheDoctrineOfSciAndNatureClub · 06/02/2013 18:18

Have you tried a 36G on the loosest setting?

Geekster · 06/02/2013 18:18

I have I find the Belvia bras very comfortable, but I am a B cup, I think they might not be supportive enough for larger ladies.

MysteriousHamster · 06/02/2013 18:20

I ordered 17 bras from Tesco to find three that fit (in different sizes just to make it complicated). Even the ones that fit (ie keep boobs apart, middle bit between boobs sticks flat to chest, no under boob, no back boob), are a relief to take off.

Sports bras can be okay but they have a tendency to wedge my boobs together, and then I get irritated skin.

MsGee · 06/02/2013 18:21

AnyFucker Hae you tried Sainsbury's? I recently tried some of their smaller sizes and found a couple of v comfy well fitting ones.

AnyFucker · 06/02/2013 18:21

uggh, they are ugly things

AnyFucker · 06/02/2013 18:22

sorry, that was about them Belvia monstrosities

AnyFucker · 06/02/2013 18:23

I don't normally visit Sainsbury's. My problem is that although my boobs are on the smaller size, they need a heck of a lot of uplift < glares at children menacingly>

TheDoctrineOfSciAndNatureClub · 06/02/2013 18:26

Greg and AF, what are your under and overboob measurements?

orangeandlemons · 06/02/2013 18:30

I can't find comfy ones either.Current one digging in under arms. Even when they are correct band size they ride up at the back, and now the straps have started curling in on themselves to produce string like straps. Can never ever get one where wires lay flat against chest at front. Never. Have come to conclusion that I am actually a freak with monster norks Hmm

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 06/02/2013 18:33

My bras rub against my skin about a cm below my breasts.

AnyFucker · 06/02/2013 18:34

hang on..

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 06/02/2013 18:34

I'd like to add, my breasts have snapped underwire before.

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 06/02/2013 18:35

Oh Doctrine i cant remember and no idea where the tape measure is.

KB02 · 06/02/2013 18:35

I've got a great soft cup bra from a lady who makes them using 3 measurements instead of 2 , and the principles behind the design are different to other bras . She is near Oldham but I think she does mail order . You would be able to find her if you Google bra spa.

I should add, they are pricey, but my 8 month old one is still in good condition

AnyFucker · 06/02/2013 18:38

Underboob =32.5 inches

Overboob =36 inches.

What does that make me ?

TheDoctrineOfSciAndNatureClub · 06/02/2013 18:40
