AIBU?

To think that if this daft woman on the telly could 'feel' that she was standing on Richard III's grave...

Then they should have just dug under her feet?

I'd have dropped her in the hole once I'd got him out

You are being completely unreasonable!

She had a passion for the subject and researched it with a rare obsession. She visited the car park, yes, and got a "feeling" which she pursued relentlessly for three years. She backed up her feelings with facts and then managed to get so many institutions on board and achieved something heroic in her efforts.

What she has achieved is historic and owes to her years of dedication.

No offence, but what have you done to compare to that?

She should be greatly admired. Good grief!

YANBU. The reactions are all a bit fake.

It's great but it is a lot like a Victoria Wood spoof - especially the bit about the flag!

I thought she was a bit of a crackpot, but she was completely right.

What she didn't tell you she had had "the feeling she was standing etc" 20 times in 20 different places before...

She's getting on my tits too.

But she was also totally convinced he had no deformity...

mine too!
she is a drama llama

Loving the programme though, am gripped...

Oh, that flag bit! I loved that it was all nylon-y and shiny.

Quelle surprise that she's a screenwriter. Bloody dram llama. Agree that there will have been 20 spots she's stood on, where she knew the bones lay.

That said - fair play!

I love the reaction of the female scientist (the young one with glasses). She is really trying to keep her face straight but you can tell she thinks the Richard society women is nuts!

Report
Enfyshedd · 04/02/2013 22:06

All of the society members that were Skyped were convinced he had no deformity as well.

DH has just said 'for god's sake, don't leave her on her own with those bones!' Grin

Ha ha yy to the spoof comment!

The bit where she leaves the room and they're all speechless and trying not to laugh, straight out of a scene like the Office!

SuzysZoo · 04/02/2013 22:08

PML at the bit where she has just seen the skeleton! Soooo funny.

It's like she's spent so long romanticising the whole thing, she just cannot deal with the reality of it. Very uncomfortable viewing actually. A real shame as well, this should be a great programme and I'm just distracted by Stupid Death in his jumper and a loony woman in denial. I can't wait for a proper documentary on it.

KathynReichs should come and have a look at the bones. That osteologist has no romance in her soul

It's riveting though isn't it? Agree she (and a lot of the other "richardians") are a bit lunatic fringe, but they are harmless and it's a stunningly important discovery.

Agree about the academics chewing their cheeks to stop snorting with laughter though Grin.
