AIBU to think that grown adults should know the difference between these two words?, My boss has just asked for that 'Pacific email' instead of Specific.

Was it an email about the Pacific ocean? If not, please pelt said boss with walnuts.

Did he say

'Can I get that pacific email from yourself?'

...if so, I think you're within your rights to kill him.

My old boss used to say this too. YANBU... Surely they are two very different words.

I had a colleague that said this.
I corrected him so he wouldn't be embarrassed. He then embarrassed himself further by getting completely tongue tied and stumbling over it.

He avoids the word completely now :)

My ears are happy

'please pelt said boss with walnuts. '

brilliant.

remember that most managers are only there because they are incapable of doing the job.

I was in a training session this week and the woman delivering one of the sessions said 'pacific' about 15 times in an hour instead of 'specific', it really got on my nerves.

I must say I didn't think that it may be something she just couldn't say, I feel quite bad now.

Never ever come across this one. Potatoe's annoys me though.
