Never ever come across this one. Potatoe's annoys me though.

I was in a training session this week and the woman delivering one of the sessions said 'pacific' about 15 times in an hour instead of 'specific', it really got on my nerves.

I must say I didn't think that it may be something she just couldn't say, I feel quite bad now.

'please pelt said boss with walnuts. '

brilliant.

remember that most managers are only there because they are incapable of doing the job.

LadyMercy Fri 25-Jan-13 15:37:40

Pacific is an ocean damnit!

FreshLeticia Fri 25-Jan-13 15:22:05

And 'burtatoes' for 'potatoes'
It begins with a P FFS!

I had a colleague that said this.
I corrected him so he wouldn't be embarrassed. He then embarrassed himself further by getting completely tongue tied and stumbling over it.

He avoids the word completely now smile

My ears are happy

My old boss used to say this too. YANBU... Surely they are two very different words.

Nancy66 Fri 25-Jan-13 14:27:39

Did he say

'Can I get that pacific email from yourself?'

...if so, I think you're within your rights to kill him.

stargirl1701 Fri 25-Jan-13 14:27:20

YANBU!

boredSAHMof4 Fri 25-Jan-13 14:25:13

BeebiesQueen Fri 25-Jan-13 14:20:55

PelvicFloorClenchReminder Fri 25-Jan-13 14:20:13

Popsie3 Fri 25-Jan-13 14:15:40

AIBU to think that grown adults should know the difference between these two words?, My boss has just asked for that 'Pacific email' instead of Specific.
