Been reading various threads on mn with interest for several weeks now.why do u ladies feel do pessimistic about ur work life balance and compete with the ' oh poor me title'. If you want a better quality of life, surely u can downsize and have less financial Responsibilty and then look after ur dc yourself instead of paying others to look after them. I just don't get why you have kids unless you wanna love And look them yourself. This doesnt apply to single the financial gain worth it?

I spend all my wages on new and more elaborate ways to keep the children suppressed.

I am young but traditional. My do wants to work and is against me returning to employment as he has same values/ ideas as me . What interests me is how majority of the mn ladies have deflected the question I posed. Yes I am genuine. I want a genuine answer.

squeakytoy Mon 26-Nov-12 23:16:26

"because I believe I'm the best educator"

well I do beg to differ, going by your posts so far... wink

Chubfuddler Mon 26-Nov-12 23:16:49

I answered your question in my first post.

WorraLiberty Mon 26-Nov-12 23:17:01

Brandy grin Give it a go and find out.

PessimisticMissPiggy Mon 26-Nov-12 23:17:04

Are you my SIL?

If it is you DSIL it's because I don't want the state the pay me to stay at home, like it does you!

Oh if it's not you DSIL then why does this not apply to single parents? Should my DH be the sole earner in the household? If that the case then can we live with you?

BelleDameSousMistletoe Mon 26-Nov-12 23:17:08

You are entitled to your views. They're naive and poorly articulated but you are entitled to them.

Jamdoughnutfiend Mon 26-Nov-12 23:17:16

Damn - I am always amazed at these threads - do what you like with your life, I'll do what I like with mine -it's called choice and IMO what feminism is all about - btw yes the financial gain is worth it - thanks! grin

Jenna2012 Mon 26-Nov-12 23:17:49

Ilovesooty, believe me, I'm not being smug. I'm a humble and kind person with a big heart.
