Did some shopping earlier in tesco as have a voucher for some money off and will get another voucher plus another in my book. Was very careful , as I have to be, so know exactly how much everything had cost. And when on my way out the door looking at the receipt I realized one of the offers hadn't been taken off. Well I look at the customer service queue and as no one is waiting decide for once to go and get my money back.

Explain to the nice lady (she must be new) and she goes off to call someone to check. Another Custoner services chap talks to me )think he's new too) very nice. So she comes back and basically one of the two things wasn't in the offer so I've got it wrong. The chap interrupts and she cuts him off and basically they give me the difference from the offer back in cash [ shock]

So I've got it wrong and they refund me anyway. Is this a new tactic from tesco? Is it the new staff? What's going on?

A few years ago I ordered my Christmas food shopping online with Tesco and amongst other things, I ordered a £23 turkey crown to be delivered on the 22nd.

Well all my shopping arrived but they were out of turkey crowns of a similar size. It didn't bother me because it was still early enough to nip out to Morrisons to buy one.

But Tesco sent me an apology email and told me that as a goodwill gesture, they were sending £40 to my bank account Shock

I bought biscuits, a pizza, a pie and pancakes (I spent the day tramping around rainy London on no breakfast or lunch, I needed carbs!) from there today and it cost me £3.60! I was expecting it to be loads more.

I think Tesco is not as cheap as it was and agree with all the moral arguments against them.

But,
Any time I have had a problem with them their customer service is fantastic.

Don't worry folks, i can rectify all of this tesco love.

A few weeks ago i did my shopping and as i was walking away from the till i checked my receipt and realised i had been charged twice for a packet of nappies.

I had to queue up for 15 minutes at customer services with two small children to have the money refunded. The customer service lady looked at me likei was a piece of crap, didnt apologise for their error and then made me give her my club card so she could remove the 7 whole clubcard points i had erroneously received as a result of THEIR mistake, which had inconvenienced ME.

I like Tesco. They found my DD when she got lost in there once. I was 9 months pregnant and couldn't run around the aisles due to SPD. There were 4 people and the shift manager with her headset on looking for her.

I made a complete farce of trying to organise my clubcard vouchers 3 years ago - I moved house and thought vouchers had got lost in the post etc. I rang and e-mailed to complain and they transferred £40 of vouchers onto my next statement. I had completely got the wrong end of the stick in the first place.

I love Tescos, always have.

Nope, not feeling the un-love wichitagrub

Mistakes happen
15 mins isn't a bad queue
Not her fault you had kids with you
You weren't entitled to the points

She should have apologised though (even though it wasn't her mistake)

So there! >

Tescos delivery has never failed me.
Once I didn't notice some shoe polish at the bottom of the trolley and had already paid at the till. When I noticed it beyond the checkout I tried to pay but the manager told me not to worry and just have it anyway. I like Tescos.

I doubled up my Clubcard vouchers on the first day of the promotion, and ordered a kettle and a stir fry pan. I went in on Nov 3rd to pick them up, the pan wasn't there, so I have been back in 3 times since. I had a shitty email on Thursday saying I had 48 hours to pick it up.

I went in again today, they looked in the back, said it wasn't there. Then asked me if I was sure of my name Hmm, went back out to look again, double checked my name, had another look, definitely not there, so said they'd ring me.

Before I got home, the had rang DS1 to say it was actually there and I have to go back and pick it! To make matters worse, it has been there since November3rd. So I have done, 5 trips of 10 miles, so far, it will be 6 in all, to pick up this flipping pan. They won't post it. They won't pay for my fuel. If I want it delivered I have to pay for it! I am diasbled so it is even more inconvenient for me because I need someone to come with me to carry it, because I use crutches so my hands aren't free.

Right now I hate Tesco!

Bad customer service personified to make a customer queue for 15 mins to rectify your mistake without an apology.

But then, you clearly have low standards worra.

This has just made me chuckle and cheered me up a little Smile

Not feeling the Tesco love here any more, thanks to the, forgetting half of my online shop.

Customer service were apologetic but only refunded me the £3 delivery charge plus an additional £3 in case I wanted to reorder the items. As it was a late delivery (9pm) I then had to go out and buy the missing items so we had breakfast stuff etc. I went to a different supermarket obv. Am still raging actually and it was months ago now!

Not feeling the love.
Not as good value as yet they used to be. I have noticed price rises a few weeks prior to a 'price drop' on products when actually the price is just reverting to what it was before they put it up. Such a con.

Also online shopping not as good so many everyday items not available and not substituted. I mean seriously how difficult is it to substitute cheddar cheese?

Oh I've thought of one annoying thing about Tesco.

When you unload all your shopping onto the conveyor belt and the cashier can clearly see you're empty handed...but asks "Do you need a bag"?

Errr no as it's such a lovely day, I was thinking of cramming all my shopping up my arse and strolling home in the sunshine...

I left my phone in two different Tesco's within a month (because I am old and menopausal) and they were fantastic both times... Much relief....

This time last year my car broke down in their car park - it was late at night, I had my Reflux-y screaming baby and my American cousin in the car as we'd just left Hospital visiting our dying Grannie, and had popped in for snacks to keep up going on the drive home.
The lovely lovely young manager and one of his v helpful staff tried to push-start us along several lengths of the car park, gave us a free petrol can so I could add more fuel (sadly that wasn't the prob), and then opened the closed cafe so we could wait in the warm for my mum to come pick us up! And they made us tea too. :) I was deep in PND and family trauma and never sent him a thank you note.

Thank you Tesco man. Thanks
