Phew Grin
Mentioned to my friend that i fancied a corned beef sandwich and she acted disgusted as though i'd said baby poo sandwich Shock and that she had never met anyone who liked it.
Hello fellow corned beef fans... glad i am no longer alone.

I've discovered jacket potato with corned beef and cheese Is lovely
And it was all thanks to a pay fuck up and running out of food

It's so bad, but so good! I love a good corned beef hash with plenty of ketchup!

Oh aye, I love both types of hash with it. I'm saving my one and only tin because I get them sent from the UK and I want it to be savoured when absolutely nothing else will do :D

As an aside, AIBU to introduce it to my child? If not, at what age is it acceptable?

Report
TinyDancingHoofer · 08/09/2012 15:06

Is it only available in the UK?

Yes, corned beef. I introduced my DH to corned beef and fresh beetroot (sliced) sandwiches. He'd never had them before and suddently it was all he wanted for lunch most days plus ham and pease pudding sandwiches.

I've just thought... I can't believe I've asked if it's ok to give my child corned beef....

YABVVVVVVU IMO. It is foul stuff. Disgusting, beyond the pale and only fit for dogs. IMO.

Tiny I dunno, but I've only seen one tin over here and it had an inflated price due to being imported.

I find that odd since corned beef in the UK is from Brazil, mostly, is it not?

Corned beef hash is made adding potatoes and onions and frying it all together.

Fricking LOVE corned beef.

We do corned beef and tomato sandwiches, and mum does corned beef fritters and it's my job to grate the corned beef. I'm in my 30s and it still is a great job. I think I mentally stopped growing at about 6, judging by this fact!

UANBU, sliced in sandwiches or cubed in hash it is yummy.

Goes the most alarming bright pink when you cook it. Which is great, it puts some people off and means there may be seconds.
