No YANBU
he's an arse (my own DH does not go down the pub x 2 in a week - do you 2 have a social life together?)

have just typed out more but then deleted it all - my first 2 line say everything that needs to be said! Grin

YANBU

I hope you get to go out a couple of times a week too!

The children being settled is far more important. tell him to have a beer or two less and fork out for a cab, or just walk!

so is it that you got a 2nd job and you wanted him to celebrate with you?

or did you get the 2nd job 'cos you both need the money but he's swanning off to the pub for the 2nd time this week?

do you go out in the week on your own with friends?

do you go out together?

i'm always a bit stunned by these threads because if my husband and i go out separately, its arranged quite far in advance, doesn't happen too often and we go out fairly frequently together. He wouldn't ever come home and then say he's off to the pub for a few with his mates? i've never understood that way of thinking i'm afraid.

Yes it would of been nice to have celebrated.

I got the job because the money would be great as we are saving, and I need to get out of the house as I have been a sahm, the kids are at school etc.

No I dont go out, not really very sociable prever my own company most of the time or Im to tired.

Very rarely we go out to much hard work?.

only if you think like that.

right, do you have a babysitter, friend or anyone who will look after the kids one evening?
Book a restaurant (i agree it would be nice if he'd had that thought first!) and go out TOGETHER!!
You never know, you might just enjoy yourself. I really don't believe that staying at home, preferring your own company and saying you're too tired (which i can well believe by the way as have 2 of my own!) is very healthy for anyone.

by the way, you're concentrating on saving, is he? because going to the pub twice a week doesn't sound like it?

i'm really sorry to hear that you're down.

i can appreciate you feel guilty but does your DP know how you feel?
Have you spoken to him about it?
Is your youngest enjoying pre-school thus far?
Can you try and do a little something to lift your mood? maybe my "night out" idea isn't right for you for now, but something else? hopefully someone else will come along and make a good suggestion. i love going out for dinner so that one always works for me!! Grin

hope you're feeling better about it all very soon.
