Am I being crazy? DH thinks I'm just being miserable...

They're really irritating me and I would have thought DH would agree as they kept him awake when he was on nights??

They have they're own drive AND garden, and there's plenty of street around.

Get Orf Moi Land!!!

YANBU,though no doubt you'll be told you're a meanie.

But I'm with you. They shouldn't be in your garden.

Is there a fence between you and your neighbours' drives?

people are bound to tell you otherwise, I agree with Letthereberock, but why aren't they playing on thier drive? put up a fence or tell them to go play on their own drive!

I'm on the fence, its nice to see children playing and if they are causing no harm then why not but on the other hand its your property.

FWIW, ours is open plan and come snow the kids love it as its steep and they can sledge down the cul de sac from it. They are not impressed when I grit it to get the car down Smile

I'd be annoyed at this too. Go out and tell them nicely, or tell their parents that you would prefer them to use their own drive.

Get off the fence, Happy, if it doesn't belong to you! Grin

Tell 'em to play on their own drive. Firmly and briskly.

Why don't you ask them why they prefer your drive?

The first time I opened the front door and yelled "Go play outside your own house!" was the day I realised I have finally turned into my own mother...

How old are these children?

Do you get on with their parents?

If so, I'd just tell them that your DH works nights and the noise is affecting his sleep.
And then ask politely if they could go play elsewhere.

If you don't get on with them, its more difficult..

Yes, I would use the working nights line. Or you're worried you might knock them over or something.

Tell their mum you've just sprayed weedkiller to get rid of the moss, and don't want them getting it on their hands?

YANBU.

Tell them to sod off (nicely of course).

If they don't, tell the parents that your husband works nights and that playing on your drive is waking him unecessarily.

I wouldn't like it either
