AIBU?

to take my dc on holiday and put them in the nursery?

I am taking my dc (1 and 4 years) on my own to Butlins. They love it and have a great time and I get a break as they are occupied so I can relax as much as you possibly can when it is manically busy and you have to watch them every second! We are going for 7 nights and I am seriously considering booking them into the nursery for just one session at some point in the week so I can go to the spa. They have play sessions in the nursery which parents can stay at so I could go to a couple of them first so that they were familiar with the place. So AIBU to consider putting my dc in the Butlins nursery for 2 hours while I go to the spa?

There is nothing wrong with putting children in the Butlins nursery for two hours. Its just a creche, its not as if its 10 hours of daycare 5 days a week.

Your children will benefit from a less frazzled mummy. We used a creche with Eurocamp when my son was four and he loved it.

YANBU - taking two children to Butlins in peak season must be really, really hard work - I'd book a couple of sessions. It's a holiday for you too, so a break will let you relax a little

YABU.

They are very likely to absolutely love the nursery so should be allowed to go to the nursery every day Grin - or at least everyother.

Thats what really worries me MrLSG, they will probably have far more fun there than with me and spend the rest of the holiday bugging to go back!!

Suggest a couple of hours every day if you can afford it...

YANBU.
If I went on holiday with a kids club I'd likely put DD in it every day because she's very sociable but an only child, and she'd rather be playing with other kids than hanging out with meHmm

I was unsure about doing something similar whilst we were abroad this year - there were kids clubs runnning in 2 hr slots every single day but I was concerned about 'offloading' the DC's while on our 'family' holiday.

They were driving me to distraction one day so booked them in - they had an absolute ball, DD3 went to sleep in her buggy and DH & I had 2 hours of complete peace and relaxtion, it was heavenly :) And did us the world of good too
