Eczema and Goats Milk

Wondered if anyone could help me with a quick question - dd has eczema and I've been trying her on Nanny Goat Milk Formula for about a week - should I have seen some improvement by now? How long should it take?

Hi there, hope someone can help, where can I get bedding for my 5 year old, new sheets, mattress, covers etc, bought some a while back, but cannot seem to find a store that sells it any more.

sorry, clicked before i'd finished typing. my sons eczema always improved in 2-3 days when we removed the problem food from his diet.

Will you keep on with the goat milk formula or try something else? How old is your dd?

Really Misdee? I wasn't sure what to do - the milk costs £16.00 a tin and I thought if it wasn't doing anything I'd go back to SMA, but I'll definately give it a while yet - by the way, congrats on the new baby.x

you may see some improvemtn within days, but genmerally it takes 2 weeks to notice any real changes, and if possible leave it as long as possible. dd1 was on goats milk for about 2-3months before we gave up as it didnt make any diffeence.

i read recently that goats milk formula is being taken off the market in the uk. i was going to try it on my 15wk old as he is showing signs of eczema and so far only olive oil seems to calm it. i combine feed (breast and SMA) and wondered what advice people might have?

My 11 week old also has excema, devic, and is formula (I use an organic one) and breast fed. My doctor said there is no point switching to a non dairy formula now as if it disagreed with him we would have seen a severe reaction by now.. have been using it once a day for a month.
Aveeno cream was recommended on another thread, I only startd using it yesterday so not enough time to see results.

I switched my ds to goats milk at 12 months. It took 5-6 weeks (had one final reaction within that time) and then the ezcema very gradually began to fade. Also used (and still do) Aveeno - I swear by that stuff.....

My ds still drinks goats milk (he is now 2.6) and I use other goats products. He is 99% ezcema free now, whereas he was covered from head to foot over the first year. It was hell and very upsetting for all concerned. Thanks to help on here and a RAST test (and since the skin prick tests) I am now up on his allergies and his skin is clear.

almost clear by 12 days

clear at 14 days

this is what someone i know was told by a farmer who kept goats.... she tried it with her daughter who had severe head to toe exzema and it went at exactly 14 days like he said

Need to know if it is okay to feed infant of 4mths goats milk? or if need to use goats milk formula? If so, where can I order goats milk formula if I am in Canada?
My niece will not eat, only 1oz of cows milk formula. She is very irritable and can't sleep. etc etc

I used Nanny Goat with my son from when he was 2 months old he is now 2 and I still give him it at night.
It is available in most health food shops in england but comes from new zealand so if not in canada im sure you could order it over the internet. We have found it to be excellent. You cant give fresh goats milk at that age x
