Hi My son has sufferd with bad constipation problems for a year now and is now on movicol but we have stopped giving him dairy and soya which has really made a difference. He's 3 years old

I just wondred if any of you might have some tips on things I can get in the supermarket for him as treats and just anything that might help me. He's on Rice dream milk at the moment.

Many thanks

I've been using something called Oat Supreme which is a sort of cream. I bought it from Waitrose although they seem to be out of stock atm. You can basically use it in place of cream in recipes or as a dessert. I have found Soya harder than dairy to cope with ... there is so much hidden soya in stuff it's quite unbelievable.

Thank you. Me too the dairy was bad enough but when I started cutting out the Soya it's been really hard as I was giving him the Alpro yoghuts and soya chocolate as a treat now he cant have anything.

Thank you.

Plamil chocolate do dairy and soya free varieties .. I think Expressions is the one which tastes more like a milk chocolate but isn't ... also Stamp Collection do Easter Bunnies and Santas

try organica premium swiss couverture bar - its soya and dairy free, but tastes of milk chocolate (my dd2 finds the others too bitter) - it melts well as well into chocolate rice krispie cakes!!!

Instead of yoghurts we give her Organiz fruit pots - it just makes her feel the same when her siblings have yoghurts. THe Kallo chocolate rice cakes are really nice as well
