first because the skin prick tests gave positive results for dust mite and peanut. Dust mite is a new allergy and even peanut didn't produce much skin reaction last time, suggesting her skin is becoming more sensitive.
Secondly they can't test for lupin unless I get hold of some to test with. Has anyone else managed to get a test for lupin flour?
Third the consultant had no idea what to test for after the recent bad reaction and says we may never know what caused it. So we're faced with not knowing if it was nut contamination or a new allergy. Did persuade them to test for a few allergens but they won't do much (for cost reasons. We may have to wait more than a month for the results of the latest RAST test as some allergens have to be done at Sheffield.
This is a new consultant and not as helpful as the one we saw before.
Wasn't expecting much from the tests but I did hope to get tests for lupin. The dust mite result is a bit of a blow.
