Lush Dream Cream & Parabens

Have just started using this on my DS (3.5 mths old). Ingredients say it contains 2 types of parabens. I know parabens are bad but has anyone else used this on their baby and has there been a reaction? It seems to moisturise ds's skin and would like to continue you with it but am uncomfortable with the parabens. Have used a load of creams, balms and ointments on him and want to give this cream a decent try (have been chopping and changing constantly which isn't a good thing). SOS rescue cream was good on his face but not powerful enough on his body which was dry as sandpaper. It was also extremely expensive (?17 for 100ml). Has anyone used the Allergenics range on their baby's excezma and would they recommend it ?

I have tried to use the dream cream on my 8 mth son but it didn't help but my friend uses it on her daughter and thinks it is fantastic. I've tried aveeno as well which I think lots of people on this site swear by but that didn't help either but it might be worth a go. I now use cetraben cream and bath oil and put the cream on him before he goes in the bath and it is really working for him. He does feel like a slippery little eel when I try and get him out!!!

By the way I have a nearly full tub of the dream cream if you would like it, I can post it to you if you don't mind the fact that it has been opened and used a few times. I know it is expensive stuff and I don't think I will ever use it.

Thanks, Hannahandseb. Have got a tub of Dream Cream myself but don't think i'll use it now as it contains 2 types of parabens and perfume which i hear is bad (sigh) which is a shame as it felt quite good when i was slathering him in it. Am so conscious of the many types of 'bad' things in cream that am going through a lot without giving any a decent amount of time to take effect. Am hoping to find one that helps to moisturise him properly and stick to it. Perhaps i'm being too anal with my anxieties about polluting his skin with bad chemicals. Just want to find one that works to some degree as it's quite exhausting lathering him up so many times in the day to find him back to being dry and scaly the next morning. I wonder whether i should slather him during the night????

Blyton, I had a chat with the lady that runs this website www.theremustbeabetterway.com and she was really really helpful explaining creams and their contents to me. Her website is also really informative. My DD has got eczema and I haven't found a single thing the Dr has given us works, in fact I think it's made it worse probably because they are all petrolium based. (including Aveeno which is given rave reviews on here but didn't help us). Anyway, I'm using some natural creams bought as a result of my conversation with this lady who has a life long experience of eczema and they seem to be working much better.

Dreamcream (kept in the fridge) helped to clear up my dd's exema and psoriosis (sp) BUT she is 7.

The keeping it in the fridge really helped sooth it.
