I thought we'd be ok with corn flakes and rice crispie types, despite them having barley malt extract. DC has been gluten free for 1.5 weeks and his digestive issues have disappeared (and been replaced with constipation for the first time ever - I don't think his body quite knows what to do when everything isn't racing through). He's had rice crispie type cereal every day until today, when he had cornflakes. By mid morning he had started with a tummy ache, and has had bloating and 'explosions' by the end of the day (which was the norm prior to going gf). The only other things he had in the morning were some mixed dried fruit, a wedge of watermelon bought from a tuck shop and a Babybel. I'm thinking it must have been the cornflakes that set him off?
It would probably be easier to stick to 'safe' cereals rather than just crossing our fingers, so can anyone point me in the direction of the gf choices?
Thank you.
