Which gluten free bread would you recommend that is available on prescription?

I think the Juvela fresh fibre loaf is the best, however it has codex wheat which DS2 can't tolerate so we get Newhouse bakery fresh white.

If you contact all the main suppliers for prescription breads, they will send you samples. It is a difficult thing to recommend as everyone has different taste don't they?

When I was first diagnosed I got lots of things sent to me. I prefer Genius products for both taste and texture.

Don't know if you can get it on prescription but Genius or Warburtons are good.

I think Genius too. Or M&S but it costs a lot more. Also heard good stuff about LIDL gf bread but not tried it.

Genius is definitely my favourite, I'm not keen on the Warburtons or the long life bread.

Don't know if it's on prescription but found that sainsburies free from bread was the only one that didn't fall apart. All the others seemed to just come out the packets in pieces.

I find Genius bread is like eating air, it just disintegrates.

Tescos Free From multigrain is my fave. It's a bit sweet, but has good texture.

Intrigued by Lidls though. Might give that a try.

M&S one very £! But tastes very convincing.

On prescription? none, they all taste shite.

For me Genius is the best, though Tesco and Sainsbury's do a good loaf too. GF bread has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years, there may come a time when the bread doesn't smell...sour when taken out of the packet.

Bread manufacturers, take note, you have a huge market out there.

If you have a little bit of time, the Juvela white mix makes brilliant bread.
It doesn't require any kneading or complex processes, just a hand whisk.

Once mixed, the batter is poured into greased loaf tins and left to rise for half an hour before baking.

Great for cakes too.

I also love the Tesco Free from multigrain bread. The hot cross buns are delicious as well!

I tried the M&S brown seeded loaf today and I found it very good. It's my first taste of gluten free bread something to compare but was impressed £3 is a bit expensive though!
Also made a lemon drizzle and an apple cake this evening with gluten free flour and both were delicious DH and kids didn't even realise!
