Reflux baby screaming!

Hi i just wasn't to know if anyone else has had the same issues I'm finding. My lo is 8 months and got diagnosed with reflux at 9 weeks. When she hit 4 months she just went massively down hill. She would scream to the point it distorts and spits. So she got under the hospital and she is on 10mg of omperazole and this has made a massive improvement. She is on the nutramagen lipil milk and seems to like it. Just makes her badly constipated she has to have a packet of movicol a day just to keep her regular. The main problem is she is still screaming, she does it a lot less but now I think she has learnt that before she got attention so now she keeps doing it. My mum is terrible the second she screams she is convinced that there is something wrong and if she says it one more time to me I might just explode! I don't know if there is something wrong or she is doing it for attention. Is there a way I can tell if there is a problem or attention? There isn't much of a pattern I can be cuddling her and she will do it or I can be out the room. Where before she would scream and scream one after the other and keep going for hours (72 hours straight once) she will do one or two then stop for a bit then start again. Anyone else dealt with this? I struggle to take her out because people just judge me because it so loud. A old women in a restaurant told me I should never have brought her out she is awful! I went bananas got in my car and broke my heart. She is amazing, funny and sooo cute when she isn't screaming any one have any tips to help xxlauraxxx

Have you weaned her? How is that going?

Does she have any rash on her body? Any red spots? A runny nose? Sneezing? Red area around her bottom?

This sounds absolutely awful for you, and I wonder how you are coping!

72 hours of screaming is horrendous. I don't know how you got through that! Even ds1 with multiple allergies and reacting to breastmilk never screamed for more than a whole night - and that nearly drove me to a nervous breakdown!!

I have no idea whether or not this is anything to do with allergy - would need more information and am no expert in any case. I do think you should see your gp again.

Please try to ignore the ignorant people who judge you without knowing what you are going through.

Btw, I don't think any babies this age scream just "for attention" - I do hope you get to the bottom of this soon!
