as my DD 23m had a really bad tummy bug couple weeks ago as the bowel was bright yellow and watery. Since then it had been mostly sloppy than solid - sorry TMI!! , then twice found mucus in her bowel in the nappy too as she did have a bad cold and was also teething (her 2nd bottom molars came thru). took her to teh docs last monday, he checked her tummy and said she is fine.. she is eating her foods on and off mostly teatime.

SShould i do a Dairy intolerence diary to see or leave it and put up with it?

I personally would keep just a general food diet and note any changes in nappies, mood etc alongside it...with a little one it's best not to take out a major food group without tests etc..if there was a pattern then you've got something concrete to show dr

Diarohea (however you spell it!) can cause temporary lactose intolerance ans the lactase enzyme is washed out of the system. this goes back to normal (unless it was lactose intolerance that caused it in the first place). May be worth keeping the diary just to see if you notice any links between diet and symptoms.

Doesn't hurt to keep a diary.

If you want to remove lactose for a short period it may help, however ensure you have a good formuls to use as a replacement- soya simply is very low on fat and high in sugar. I recommend Enfamil lactofree (we get it on prescription), DS3 has thrived on it.
