Can a six month old have hay fever?

DD constantly snotty and sneezing. I get bad hay fever - just trying to rule it out really. Maybe a cat allergy (we have one)? GP reckons it's unlikely as she doesn't have excema. Anybody got any experience of this?

I was told that babies don't get hay fever, but my DD had it at 6 months, she'd be full of snot when we were in the park, but much much better after an hour or so indoors. BTW, I have both cat allergy and hay fever and have never ever had eczema.

Yes, DD2 had hayfever at that age. I just assumed she had a cold. It was only in subsequent years I twigged that she was always snuffly as soon as the TV started talking pollen counts.

Last year (when she was 12) I finally remembered to buy some hayfever liquid before she complained and she didn't sniff at all.

She's been better this year too.

She's slightly allergic to latex, swimming hats make her itch, some plasters and magic cream (which we only know because she was daft enough to break her other arm and need it set under GA again), but not anything else.

My DD had it 1 month. GP said it can't be possible but it was definitely there. She does have multiple allergies.
