In-store bakery allergen info

Was being really stupid and buying naice bread at the weekend -never thought to check if it was dairy/soya free (ebf 6mo with cmpa and soya allergy)
Had a useful half hour in Tesco:
multigrain farmhouse loaf, malted grain baton + baguette, wholemeal loaf, organic white baguette, organic stonebaked white loaf, olive roll, italiano roll, and continental roll are all dairy and soya free.

Does anyone have similar info for instore bakery stuff from Asda /Sainsbos/Lidl/Co-op? (We're too far north for Waitrose sadly)
Most importantly, are the amazing vegan custard donuts in the Co-op soya free?

Doh! I did look at Tesco.com and even emailed them, they directed me to ask instore. Couldn't see it for Asda either. Online is much handier. Can you give me a steer where to look?

I'm sorry puggle, I didn't realise you were asking about the fresh bakery list.

I know there is an allergen list for all other products in tesco, ASDA etc

M & s do an online list organised by allergen. However their in store and general breads mostly have soya and dairy warnings.
I find generally the seeded type breads are ok. Shame about waitrose as my recent discovery is their In store bakery which lists allergens

Apparently New York bagels are ok?
Also have heard co op donuts - jam.

My dd is cmpi too, 6 mths, ebf. I used to exclude all traces but wondering now if 'traces' are ok? Since we had skin prick test and found it's not an ige allergy I feel a bit more relaxed.

I asked in my local Tesco if their bakery bread had milk in it. Apparently all their in store bread does? They didn't have an allergen list to show me though but I wasn't going to go against what they were saying

New York bagels are dairy and soya free. There are some normal breads that are dairy and soya free too, I know waitrose farmhouse bread is.

Didn't know you had a CMPI one as well puggle, difficult isn't it? I've found the various regional CMPI support groups on Facebook to be a fantastic source of this sort of information. Have you been referred to a dietician for help with weaning? They might have some info too.

Its a total pain book - hopefully not for long. No offense to our dietician but Mumsnet was much more helpful. I'll look on fb for cmpi group too

That's really useful thank you quietbat - there isn't a Sainsbos in my town but there is one about 16 miles away at our nearest beach so I'll be picnicing on tasty bread next sunny day

FYI tesco told me their tins were sprayed with sesame oil to stop the bread sticking in the in store bakery - so i have stopped buying their fresh bread as DS is allergic to sesame. Sainsburys on the other hand use non -stick tins and their brand is a bit more allergy aware - they are usually very helpful in store - there is usually a large file at the bakery counter with all the info in.
