Blocked sinuses are helped by drinking or breathing in a spoonful of vinegar in hot water.
I have got a chest infection and a cough and In am not sure whether it is caused by the hay-fever or Beconase spray or cetirizine hydrochloride. The mucus going into my throat gave me a nasty cough and the doctor suggested I use Beconase and ibuprofen which then gave me a very nasty throat infection for which I was then prescribed Penicillin a week later. I felt a lot better yesterday and took some cetirizine hydrochloride and went out and the sore throat is back! I feel better today so I wonder whether I am allergic to hayfever medicine!!

Hi there. Not fair to have allergies on top of the boiling weather:(
I am a huge fan of a completely natural product which I even use on my new born for blocked noses and sinus.
My hayfever has been awful this summer.
I was recommended Sterimar Over the counter at boots. They have an adult and baby version. It's just seawater nasal spray, but the actual spray is brilliant and gets right up there and clears you out!
As for the sore throat I find if I'm breathing through my mouth at night due to blocked nose, I wake up with dry sore throat. Hope this helps.
