Hi just feel the need to tell everyone right now, most of you know what a hideous time my eldest dd had I'm her early life, well her gcses results came back, (we only got back from holiday last night) and she got 6a* s and 5 a's! Grin
She worked really hard (despite me actually telling her not to!) I am so so proud of her. She actually thanked me for being so supportive I may have then totally embarrassed her by bursting into noisy sobs and hugging her for about a hour while she tried to chat to her friends and rolled her eyes at me a lot. Smile it's not the results themselves I care about but the fact she is so strong, she wanted to do well (she wants to go to uni) she worked she achieved and most importantly she knew she could, she knows she can do anything. I am so so proud Smile
Thanks for listening to me ramble Thanks

That is fantastic.
You have every right to feel proud of both yourself and your dd.

Thanks for posting this story. I lurk on here and consider adoption but all the bad stories do scare me. Nice to hear a good one too. Well done to you all. You've proved love can heal!!! x

That's brilliant. And will give her so much internal confidence, she can do it, she has.

Much if the time we make our own luck, and success is a habit that grows. She has absolutely created that base. And I echo the pp who said a wide range of universities will
be open to her.

Many congratulations to her and her proud parent/ manager.
