Adopters - did/does your dc's life story book have the bp's and siblings full names in, including surnames?

Thanks ladies.... It just seems a security risk to me.... What were your thoughts and subsequent experiences?

Security risk or risk of children contacting birth family prematurely???

My children were 5 and 6 when adopted so were fully aware of their birth names and that of their birth family, so no additional risk whatsoever. In my circumstances, it didn't even occur to me to query it.

My circs maybe different to yours tho?

And how did I manage to screw my post up without realising?

My DD2's book does have surnames in it. It's DS's which doesn't. Actually, my reasons for that in our case weren't to do with him contacting his birth family, but in this day and age, with a young child, it's definitely something I might think about.

This one's on my mind too bberry. I think I've decided to take them out and have a frank and honest conversation when he asks about how I don't think it's in DS's best interests to know until he can deal with it. Can't see another option tbh...
