We were matched in mid December, and will be placed in January. Met DD last week for an hour, took a few pics etc.

I just wanted to say a public "arrgh!". I miss her so much already and can't wait until we start intros in early Jan.

Not feeling very christmassy!

Hurry the Fuck up January!

Hang on in there, it's wont be long. You don't have to be Christmassy if you don't want to ( unless you have other kids). It's not compulsory you know Wink

Ooh, that's sooooooo exciting! You must be counting sleeps until you have her. I hope the time flies for you. Try to fill your days with all the things you won't be able to do when she's there.

I can't wait to read your gotcha post :)

Tragic Clam, congratulations January will be here in a flash. I am also starting intros in January so I know how you feel. Question for you though, how did you get to meet your little one prior to intro's? I have never heard this before. x

Thanks all, I now realise that I have been waiting for her for years. I'm so glad it's her we've been matched with. It all makes perfect sense!

funnychic it was a "sighting" they called it. Usually just a quick meeting at the local park, but coz of the weather we went to FC's house. We almost didn't, I think it only happened because a senior SW got involved.

It was great, especially because we had only seen pictures of her before, not videos. Glad we did it.

Bloody adoption, it feels like nothing but waiting! Just really want life to get going now please!

I know it's no comfort now, but when you do start introductions the time will fly by and you will wish for a little bit of respite....!

Not long to wait - have you got everything you need, or are you planning to hit the sales for a few things?

We're already pretty much sorted - had a bit of an ebay frenzy in December! We had to wait about 2 months for matching panel, so had to do shopping to get through the earlier waiting!

I'm feeling a bit more cheery today - I think it was actually really hard for me to get through xmas, harder than I'd expected. Out the other side now, and feeling like it's not long to go!

thanks Thanks everyone, hope you're all having a good time Xmas Smile
