I think it's baked beans on toast for dinner for us next week - I've been boot shopping

(20 Posts)
blush wink

I went and bough a nice beige pair of suede calf boots in the British Heart Foundation for £7 don't think they're any "brand" (they have "made in china" on the bottom grin), then I found a lovely next jacket (that's what I'd gone hunting for) a winter jacket for £7

Right that was me sorted..........

Until I walked past a new second hand clothes shop (not a Charity shop) that's opened near Morrisons.

There in the window were the most gorgeous pair of pink Timberland boots - in a size 4 1/2 (I'm a 5 - but can fit into some 4's) for just £20.

I went and tried them on and they fitted - they were gorgeous - so rang DH and asked if he thought I should buy them (given I'd already spent £15 on boots and a jacket) and he said yes grin

So I'm now the proud owner of a pair of these and am walking around like a Cheshire cat

(haven't posted in "style" as they're probably not actually very stylish and didn't want to get told how awful they are blush wink)

disclaimer we won't really be eating baked beans on toast for a week as a result - I'll just have to forgo a few of my little "extras".

Woo! i lov a bargin like that!

Especially timberland ones!

I was SO after a pair of the brown and pink rollover ones...but they were £100...popped into muy local charity shop and they had them BRAND NEW (tags still on) in my size (even if they hadnt of been i couldve lopped a few toes off!).....for £5.99!!!

Even now over a year later i STILL look at them and the thought of what a bargin they were and how much i love them STILL makes me smile! (im sad i know!)

Well done on your bargin!!

still £140/190 make no difference to me - would never have been able to afford them new.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
